Major rendering issues after "Fatal Error Crash"

Hello

I'm playing on single player & yesterday i experienced the dreaded "fatal error crash" which corrupted my save. I have since got it back but the issues I'm experiencing happened before i recovered my save which I will explain. So after my crash i tried everything to get back into my save to no avail so i decided to create a new character and use creative mode to get my back to where i was before the crash. I started a new character and started to fly to my old base location where i experienced another crash. When i got back into the game the world it simply didn't look right at all and loads of rocks and walls aren't rendered in. I can see all the way to the borders of the map with not much in between besides a load of floating trees I'm on Aberration BTW so i definitely shouldn't be able to see the surface beacons. If it helps when i get closer to objects that aren't there they do appear when i get much closer to them. It was at this point i found a fix to get my old world back but i have the same issues in this one now as well.

I have tried all the usual fixes for this king of thing.
Verified the installed files.
Reinstalled the game multiple times.
Reinstalled graphics drivers through Nvidia
Tried "Epic" settings as well as "Low" settings.

For anyone wondering i revisited my other completed maps & now have performance problems with "The Island" & "Scorched Earth" i played "High" settings for both maps with no problems but now i can barely move on "Medium" and if i try "High or Epic" the game will just crash.

& here are my specs:

Aorus Elite X570 - Watercooled
Ryzen 5800X3D - Watercooled
GeForce 2080ti - Watercooled
32gb Corsair RAM
Samsung 980Pro NVME

I understand my PC isn't the best but i never had any previous problems with Ark ASA.
Also all my other games on Steam work absolutely fine

Any help will be very appreciated.

HI, I'm not an expert but you hurt me because i know what it is to be in those kind of issues, so i'm going to try to advice you some things, even basics and even you maybe already know.


You recovered your save, so you must know but who knows (and for the future)... all your your datas (character, map, etc...) are in this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved

("C", of course if ASA is on your "C" SSD)
Make regularly a copy/paste of this folder (personnally, i do it every 1 or 2 hours IRL), somewhere on your SSD if a disaster happens.



Do you have mods? If yes, think to unistall (unsubscribe) all of them, then, if all goes normally, reinstall them, one after one, after seeing if, with the last you put, all goes normally.



Think to uninstall/reinstall ASA, another time, BUT before to reinstall, DELETE this folder :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended
