WC have said there'll be news soon. I suspect in the Crunch either this week or next. No idea if it's good news or not.

Community crunch was definitely crunchy.
Pre order their new paid DLC 30$, but nothing found about UE 5.5 update and its 22nd. I feel like its not coming in March boys and they won't give any heads up as per usual. SHOCKER I know.
Where are all the fanboys to tell me how they are working on fixing the game and not trying to milk the community. "Preorder DLC" while in EA despite set DLC being pushed to be released sooner over the maps we were promised.

Idiots that make excuses for this game are more numerous than people trying to run the game on a potato.

You shouldn't require frame-gen to REACH 60fps with any modern GPU, yet here we are.

(Yeah you can use 23424 console commands and make the game look worse than ASE to get better framerates, but that isn't really addressing the problem is it?)

The game doesn't perform for the hardware required, and the games recommended specs are basically a lie.

Ignore everything and keep coping. Great move.
- Ignore their roadmap.
- Ignore poor optimization.
- Ignore radio silence about obvious delay left for the last sec.
- Ignore 30% complete 15$ DLC being sold.
- Ignore the milking of the community.
- Ignore they are pushing Lost colony for earlier release so they can charge you another 30$.
- Ignore this is still in EA.
- Ignore that the game runs poorly regardless of hardware.
- Ignore that you need "self optimize" the game min maxing every setting, because the presets are absolutely useless.
- Ignore that ASA is funding "ARK 2" which is in development hell for years.

What does the trend show? I know its hard for people like you to look at the bigger picture.
So let me TLDR it for you.
- You are paying for this remaster which was "supposed" to have all the ASE maps within 2 years period according to their original roadmap, which now is pushed to 4+.
- You have paid mods. (which SWC takes 50% of every sale made)
- Paid cosmetic packs.
- Paid DLC thing in the form of bob tales which was drip fed and you were paying infront full price despite it wasnt being available after purchase.
- Paid p2w creatures, with every free(community map).
- 30% complete DLC map
- Overpriced 15$ skin bundle.
- Pushing Lost colony forward into the pipeline to charge you for that one too with 30$ price tag which mind you they also let you "preorder".
- EA was supposed to end at 2024 according to the steam page.
- The ARK IP as of 2022 or 2023 report made over 1.5B(you can look it up) prior ASA, they are not an indie company. That's before all of their milking strategies which came with ASA.

So they keep asking for money trying to sell you all kinds of junk with increasing rates, while the game is still in EA and little to nothing is done to make it better so it actually leaves EA. But given this trend I don't think they intend to leave EA anytime soon. Since EA has been their shield and all of you clowns love to use this excuse.

This game runs awful even on good hardware.

This is the last performance test I made. Certainly wouldn't call it awful. Maybe you have to finetune some settings now and then but I don't have issues with Ark.
Runs better for me than for example Silent Hill 2

1080p native, medium preset, 60-90 fps RTX 4080 Super/7800X3D. No frame graph to show how broken ASA is.
There's nothing going on. Lets add structures, dinos etc.
Lets go step further and use "recommended specs".
What kind of fps should we expect?
Turning on frame gen, DLSS doesn't mean "optimization".
And we were talking for exactly that.
If you run at 1080p on 4080 super with 7800x3d and you are hitting 60fps(medium preset) while nothing is happening around you the game runs like az.
