Ark and Snail games might be getting a lawsuit thrown it's way...
Nintendo is suing a game developer named Pocket Pair over similarities in capturing and or storing creatures in objects, or something similar.

Ark has Cryo-pods.

You do the math.

Honestly, if Snail does get some spill over from a lawsuit, who thinks it would be justified with how Snail treated it's players for the past two years?

Snail is in China and China goes not give two f**ks about copyright and patent law so yea this is going no where.
... right...

If Nintendo had grounds to sue, they would have sued SG/WC long, long ago when Ark was insanely popular and selling like hot cakes.

Whilst Suzhou Snail Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese company, it's subsidiaries Wildcard Studios and Snails Games U.S.A. are not.

Never the less, I think that it would be hard for Nintendo to make a case against the cryopods, the mechanics of how this works in Palworld is awfully similar to the mechanics of a Pokeball and it doesn't help that the game was initially marketed as Pokemon with guns.

If they were able to correlate and fight this successfully in court then it would be the end for Snail.

to be clear, nintendo filed the patent they are using to sue THIS YEAR

meaning AFTER pal-world's release

nintendo filed the patent they are using to sue them

for "copying the poke-ball mechanic" basically
