Taking too much storage space, already 155 gb.
The storage space required for asa is already 155 gb which i don't have in my nvme. The main reason for this is because unlike in ark SE where we can select which dlc maps to install, in ark ASA we have no way of selecting specific maps rather we have to install all the dlc maps from scorched earth, the center and aberration. I don't know why they don't allow us to select which maps we can install on the dlc tab just like in the ark SE.

Please report the game on the store page for lying.

If steam warns the devs the game will be removed from the store it MIGHT make them:

1. tell the truth on the store page, that it requires 300GB, and not 70GB
(It is 300GB, because once there is an update where you are forced to update to be able to play the game, you will need DOUBLE the size of the game to be able to update it)

2. actually start to fix the game.

Kind of petty isn't it bro

Well if Ark:SE is anything to go by...
My folder was at 489GB before i made the switch to Ark:SA.

But i agree being able to opt out of installed maps would save some headache.

With 7 terabytes of storage space, I am unconcerned how big ANY game's folder size is. It must be awful running a PC with storage space being so limited.

It's really strange to me that we can't uninstall dlc that we are not using. We could in ASE so why not ASA?

you say that but yet Team Fortress 2, valves GAME is way lower than its current size, because tf2 is now almost 30gb big compared to the 17 they say

I too am disappointed at the implementation of the maps and the inability to not have them installed. I don't have drive space issues, but I do miss this more controllable aspect from ASE.

For being graphically more demanding with higher quality assets so far the game is still barely larger than original ASE without any maps installed, its 128gb without any maps

im not certain, but i found a tick list labled 'install' for DLC. On ASA's library page > settings > DLC. idk how it would affect paid DLC but hopfully this is helpful

That is funny because I can go right now and uninstall all of them if I choose in the same exact way I did for ASE. Sometimes if you spend less time in forums with false statements and more time learning and looking you come out ahead. Click on ASA in your library and scroll down on the right is your DLC manager.
Sad that people today run their mouth and close their eyes.

So, it turns out you have to go to the DLC page of each map in the store and then press 'Add to Library.' Only then will the DLC tab show up in the settings of the ASA game; otherwise, there is no DLC tab. It installs all the DLC, so you have to go to the DLC tab after you’ve added the DLC from the store page to your library. Only then will you see the DLC tab in the settings, and only then can you unselect the DLC maps that you don't want installed.

Turns out unselecting the dlc maps doesn't do anything lol, the game still installs all the maps.

Dosent work you can go to the dlc tab and then unselect the DLC but that doesn't do anything the maps are still installed in the base game and takes up the same space. Maybe instead of judging others, should have actually tried it yourself first instead of giving out brainless opinions.

the fact that you fail to see that it doesnt even show a size since it actually doesnt do anything and then proceed to run your mouth like you said other people do is the funniest ♥♥♥♥ and i would honestly just recommend deleting the post and leave in shame
