Can you please fix your updates?
I am constantly having to uninstall other games in other to update small updates with this game. Every time this game updates, it wants to re-download every single file almost, which is beyond excessive. I don't have a super-large drive, but I shouldn't have to free up ~150 gb of space to install a less than 1-10 mb update, either. Also, this makes me have to wait significantly longer than I should be to open it and play again. It's the only game I have with this issue.

Yep, you pretty much need a Cray Super Computer to play this trash remake of a decent game. I suggest buying an external hard drive.

The game runs fine on my 12 year old computer, the problem isn't the gameplay, it's the broken or unoptimized file directory they're sending Steam, which is essentially forcing a full reinstall of the game every time you update, even for a small 20kb update.

Same problem, right here right now.
100 MB update, downloaded in seconds. Ten hours to install. Can't play tonight I guess.

If you have a desktop I would recommend buying a 1tb ssd hard drive. They are about $50 usd on Amazon right now. For a laptop same thing only external hard drive though the performance wouldn't be as good still should be fine.

That's exactly what I have. And the Drive is dedicated to only Steamapps. It's internal, not external.
Patching should be faster, and it's definitely nothing to do with my steam installation. Every other game is over in minutes (if not seconds).

My Ark update has now increased to 13 hours remaining (after 2 hours already).

How much free space is on the drive?
To keep this game working properly even on a great PC you will need to verify game files after each update, I notice I get a couple corrupted every time.

Free space while playing ARK should be around 200 GB, some say it works fine with 150GB free space (usually this will be why you cant update)
