Cosmo is completely redundant in Aberration

Cosmo becomes completely redundant the moment you step into the blue zone and need a light pet to fend off the countless nameless that never leave you alone. Can't use both Cosmo (which should go into the off-hand slot since it attaches to your arm when using it) and a light pet as they are both shoulder pets (even though you have 2 shoulders). Bad game design seems to still be a trend with Wildcard I guess. I mean Aberration is the best map to use Cosmo on and yet your forced to not use it in the areas that best suit it. Common sense didn't come into play at all in Wildcards decision making.

set it to agressive. pick it up and its a (tek shoulder cannon) that shoots light

Again its redundant when you need a light pet on your shoulder... I knew that already and it would be cool to use but again you can't use both Cosmo and a light at the same time. Please read the post before commenting.

it has it's niche. The mobility you get with it is ridiculous. In blue or red zone, you can move around without touching the ground with it. If you need to do something on the ground in those zones, then yes, obviously, you need other light pets. But obsolete? Can't say that.

If your going into either the blue or red why would you not need to go on the ground? Besides the glide suit is more than enough to traverse areas like the rockdrake trench. Also we now have the Yi Ling which in pretty much every situation is just better than Cosmo. If you get hit while trying to web sling away with Cosmo then it cancels the web sling and you end being stuck in a situation where you can get to safety. While it is very fun to web swing around the map, in pretty much every situation Cosmo is redundant.

If you could use Cosmo while using a light pet then at least it would be viable to use Cosmo to explore the blue and red zones. Right now as you said it is niche, to much so to worry about even taming one.

Shooting nameless or reapers with charged infused webs enabled makes them run away.

It's just a choice to make, you have guaranteed safety from nameless but no extra abilities or you trade that full protection for the mobility to get out of any dangerous situation in a pinch and traverse the map quickly and safely on foot, but you still have a way to fend nameless off if you need to.

If you don't like that kind of compromise that's fine, but it doesn't make it redundant just because you don't like it. I would take Cosmo over a light pet any day.

Or, if you're that scared of nameless and that desperate to bring a light pet, you could just get a featherlight and have it follow you around. You can have both if you can't live without light.
Even if you're on a mount, if you ever get forced to dismount or it dies you can get away with the Cosmo but the featherlight will still protect you from nameless whenever you're on the ground.

You say to just have a Featherlight on follow, that would be fine if they didn't die so easily or could not be targeted at all. I tried to this a few times and lost 5 Featherlights because when they are on follow everything targets them at the moment. I don't know if that is intended but the AI for this game is a joke currently, I don't know if it has been like this for a while or what as I barely touched the game before a week ago since there are just better games out there. I came back to check out Aberration as it was my favourite map. So far I am massively disappointed.

To make the charged web shot viable you need to breed a very boosted Cosmo as you can run out of charges very quickly when using it to fight off a pack of nameless. That takes a lot of time especially if your on official. Again why would you use Cosmo to fight a pack of nameless that will take ages to kill and continue to spawn forever while in the red or blue zones, when you can just use a light pet and have no nameless to worry about. If your trying to farm up some nameless venom then ok I can see that kind of working but again I would rather have a light pet and just turn the light off when I want the nameless to spawn.

Once again Cosmo is out played by light pets therefor making it redundant. The only thing Cosmo has going for it is the web swinging. All I've seen so far regarding anything to do Ark:SA is far to much copium. Clearly the Ark:SA is happy to be fed ♥♥♥♥ over and over and then ask for more. Say anything bad about the game and people like yourself try their hardest to defend Wildcard, with no reason to. It's the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ I think I've seen and it goes back to early Ark:SE when there were so many game breaking issues, some that still exist today.

I gave it another shot after I was gifted Bob's Tall Tales from a friend that wanted me to play but honestly I don't eat ♥♥♥♥ and I never will. Wildcard and Snail Games can shove it back where the sun don't shine. They don't deserve the backing from their brain dead supporters. To many shills out there pushing toxic positivity and reaffirming predatory business practises.

Your the pathetic one here. There's nothing pathetic about calling out the BS and criticising something you want to be good. The problem with Ark is the people behind it, Wildcard and Snail Games. They have had years to fix the issues with both Ark:SE (which is out of EA and still a ♥♥♥♥ show) and now Ark:SA which is following the same track. They will never change and do whats right by their player base because of people like you who defend their BS. Get over yourself, calling me miserable, LOL.
