You DESTROYED Aberration

Title says it all, Aberration is a fkin mess, it was the most beautiful map and you completely destroyed it.

Lighting is very bad, trees are ugly.. there were beautiful blue and pink trees in the blue area, replaced by white flowered trees???

Metal nodes don't even glow blue anymore...

Bugs lighting is horrible...

Light rays are too bright, I can barely navigate the map and I used to know it by heart.

I can honestly say that ASE Aberration is by far better looking overall. There might be some areas with good atmosphere were ASA shines due to higher graphics but they are very few.

I have got a 4090 Suprim X, 64GB Ram & i9 14900K and I have to turn on DLSS to get 60 fps and DLSS gives me a bit of flickering lights to top it all off..

Lol, the ground texture in areas is still just ASE level horrible. Some areas just have the mesh with no grass, so it just looks like an empty plane from PS2 era...

They also just... didnt... put any resource nodes on the island across from the railroad cave. They have they river rocks and the Z plant but that's it....

Oh, i almost forgot wild Z plants and charge nodes dont affect nameless or reapers. Had a lot of fun trying to kill an alpha nameless only to realize i was doing 30 damage with my gigantoraptor (300+ damage on right click normally).

I'm waiting for my interest to completely wane once they fully remove tamed alpha karks. I havent updated my server recently, so no idea if the patch that removed wild babies axed tamed ones. Wish WC would keep .ini settings for fun stuff like that.

Pretty sad tbh.

Edit: Dino spawns are the same, which means most areas are completely barren while others have 100+ dinos crammed into a super small area...

AGREED. it is not even the performance. but how messy it is. so random. everyhyng seems just randomly thrown together, the blue zone is either super bright or totally BLACK, i just went there to get the notes, do the boss, which is also buggy, you get no bonus levels, and no loot either,
i just tamed a cosmo, which is meh, and a yi ling which is super meh it is like the troodon: herd to tame and useless when tamed. all it can do i can do better with a crossbow and a grappling hook / parachute.
i was never this disappointed in anything they did, even pyromane that is bottom of the barrel, is better than this pile of garbage called aberration.

It's drab, dark and depressing. It's also a nightmare to traverse with a few dinos set on Follow, because they get stuck on just about every rock, tree and shoreline. I have given up on the map for good. I'm playing the Amissa map mod instead, which looks absolutely great. The clowns who programmed the Ark Ascended Aberration map could really do with studying it closely - they could learn something.

It first happened in Aberration and now on The Island

Why do people even play ASA, all I hear is bad things. Poorly made, cant even run it, paid dinos, p2w, etc. Just play ASE

Yes, for example near blue area surface entrance, a bit deeper after the entrance so laggy for nothing.

Because the graphics have the potential to give you such a deeper experience. When I was playing on island I really enjoyed it as the atmosphere was breathtaking and this got me really stoked for AB.... only to get disappointed.

Oh another thread where the OP says I have the best PC money can buy so there is no way the issue is my side. Game is garbage I said it that makes it 100% true. In reality this was the same thing we heard with the first Ark. Everyone flexing their PC's muscles then turns out their PC was the issue. Oh the issues that AMD users had......LMAO.

It has nothing to do with their computer. The design of the map is what is flawed. Aberration isn't supposed to look this bad.

I replaced the Yi Ling spawns with featherlights, so something useful actually takes their place. We already had a glider creature in Ab, we didn't need another one that was accessible earlier. Grappling hooks didn't work in Ab, but they've bypassed that with the Cosmo. The two main things that added difficulty are now a non-issue.

Also, Cosmo being a shoulder pet and doesn't emit light means you'll just be constantly bothered by Nameless in Blue/Red. Did the people who designed these things actually play and enjoy Aberration in SE?

The one chance Wild Card had to redeem itself and as expected, they royally messed it up even though they fully knew the release day and had plenty of time to test it! They want to tell the community to stop complaining and gas light us like it never happened!!

I am in no way trying to flex anything, other maps look amazing and graphics are insane but Aberration's lighting is really bad and some areas just need to be re-made really.

I pointed out that I have a high end PC to show that I am able to run this as it is meant to be run and not having to reduce graphics options that may hinder Wildcard's optimization in any way.

I'm sorry that you can't afford it, go work harder instead of posting useless comments.

Aberration is not looking good at all, I guess my expectations were a little high.
