Screen flickering like crazy

Hi. I've been having this issue since the beginning, but it was just the borders of the screen flickering and in rare ocassions so I lived with it. But since the abberration update, the whole screen flickers constantly, making the game unplayable. This happens in every map and more badly whenever I open an inventory.

I tried lowering all settings, disabling everything and still got it. I have a 4080 and i713700k.

I need help, please. Thank you in advance.

turn on console, open it (tilda ` key on PC) and put this in
r.Shadow.Virtual.Enable 0

Set effects quality to high or ultra and if that doesn't help global illumination to ultra.
It went from epileptic overkill to ok for me that way.

It seemed to work but then the flickering returned. I also tried:

r. lumen.hardwareraytracing 0
r.shadow.csm.maxcascades 0

Those also seemed to do a thing, then nothing...

I've been changing the settings from epic to low, then back to ultra, disables DLSS, changed to window fullscreen, disabled and re enabled the advanced graphic settings.

Depends how badly you wanna play vs, seeing more shadows, try using
r.Shadow.Quality 0
my kid use that settings on his laptop... makes everything a bit brighter than normal but way more playable

I feel like we are getting the same thing. My game looks great 0 flickering... and then after not even 5 minutes anytime i pause it or go in my inventory everything goes crazy. its only in my inventory though, its almost like it starts super un noticeable and then progressivley gets worse

i had this issue at aberration launch and the issue was dlss
when i disabled dlss it fixed it. but i thought that issue was patched

relogging into game fixes flickering without changing anything. at least thats what works for me

Hello everyone i thought after searching for this problem and seeing others having the same issue, i thought about being usefull and post my solution to mine. Gsync yes if the screen flickers and its messing with the screen im not talking about in game graphical issues, it turned out it was gsync tho this issue only arrived since abb lunch with a bunch of other issues like i cant use the new FG i need the original nvidia one, rtx 4080 here btw, so turn off gsync and check again hope it helps someone!

Gsync VRR or others not working correctly after Aberration update, I get same problem after disable FSR3 Frame Gen in console, FSR3 Frame Gen not are the problem.

this helped but fps went down drastically

This issue burned the game settings onto my screen. It literally ruined my screen because the flickering was so bad. Wtf.

I will try some of the solutions shown here.

Currently my solution is, to put the game into windowed mode with a 1080p resolution, with this setting the game doesn't flicker at all.

Before the Abberation update I could run the game in QHD and fullscreen and the flickering was barely noticeable. But with Abberation it got worse.

My R9 5950X and my RTX 3070 TI should pobably be enough to play the game on high or even ultra on QHD.
