Anyone else still not sold on bobs tales?

I'm the only one left out of my friends who refuses to buy the dlc, I was wondering if there is anyone else out there that still on the fence about it or fully decided against getting the dlc expansion bobs tall tales. I just feel like I can enjoy the game without it and its not worth the price tag.

That's the beauty of it, it's a choice you don't have to make if you don't feel like it. But so far what I've seen it has brought to the table it is well worth it.

I originally only bought it for the treasure maps as when it was released they were dropping non stop. After purchase I'm lucky to see one a week!
The rail system just seems more hassle than its worth.
The Aberration content looks pretty interesting. I'll let you know if I ever manage to get on a server!

For me, I bought it. I haven'tried all the stuff with Bob Tall Tales 2 yet. The Scorched earth stuff I love. Let me be absolute clear though, it is the player/structure skins that I enjoy the most. The Oasisaur is just okay in my opinion great for growing crops and that is about it for me although annoying to feed.

Some of the new structures in Bob's Tall Tales 2 might be pay to win some. I haven't tried them all out yet.

I mainly play single player or with a few friends so being a little pay to win doesn't bother me. I also feel Ark has always been somewhat pay to win anyway even back in ASE. In ASE, it was new dinos tied to a specific map that came out for example the shadowmane on Genesis Part 2. If you didn't have that map you couldn't get the dino.

I play Ark to have fun not to be competitive. Could this be concerning for PVP players? Possibly but I don't play PVP so I honestly have no idea either way.

Let me also say that with all the maps from ASE included in the base price of the game, I don't mind things like Bob's Tall Tales as long as the price isn't too crazy. Although, they might want to be careful how over powered they make stuff. I do have mixed feelings about Bob's Tall Tales 2 because they added so many new structures in that DLC. In the first one, the most powerful items were probably the shovel, treasure maps, and the Oasisaur. In this one, I don't know yet what those things might be but the list could be much longer which might be concerning. At least it is one price for 3 maps worth of DLC content though.

No crashes at all so far. So sorry to see some people having problems, and not getting to play on the new map. I hope it gets fixed for you guys soon.

Still waiting for Wildcard to finish fixing the game, after they released the April Fools Day Update, with the first Bob Dlc.

Still can't get my Thyla ( big Cat ), on my Rafts because of the first Bob Dlc adding an invisible Force Field stopping all Thyla from even stepping on a Raft.

Along with still waiting for Wildcard to fix the base game, and The Island's many problems.


I doubt they'll get fixed, they didn't fix the problems on Ark Survival Evolved to this Day. They like adding stuff, but not fixing stuff.

The Raft structures are invisible again, on loading, since the last update... they fixed it, then broke it again...

its up to the person. get it if want if not dont. I just remember paying 12.99 a month for wow and other games so this is peanuts compared to the amount of hours of entertainment.
