YES, you can REMOVE the new FORCED frame generation if you DON'T WANT it
Hi all, here is RTX 3080, res 4K and 30-50 fps

After the update, yes, i had a practically 60 fps (60 caped), but... a graphic downgrade... almost if i gone back in 1080p, and it's MY choice, i prefer a better visual than better FPS! (MTF! lol!) so i disabled, in console command, the FORCED FG and all became like before, as I WANT! (ok, you must do the action everytime you launch ASA, but the line of command stays in the archives of the console command so it takes you literally 3 seconds.
The command is:

r.FidelityFX.FSR3.Enabled 0 | r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode 0 | r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled 0

Good game to everyone!

PS: thanks to "Heroic" who told me that in an other topic, and ok, some knew that but others, no.

The problem was not that they sent FSR 3 Frame Gen to everyone, but rather that they removed Nvidia Frame Gen which was working well together with Nvidia Reflex and FSR Super Resolution.
Not to mention that in this last update Gsync completely broke with Ark Ascended, Gsync simply stopped working, worsening the visual quality due to the fact that Gsync is not working correctly.

An Nvidia Driver update will probably be necessary for gsync to work correctly with Ark Ascended again, especially now that everyone is using FSR 3 Frame Gen.

Personally, as others who don't have a 40 series, i don't have access to FG. 😉

Apparently you don't use Nvidia Reflex and Gsync either...

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFO, just made a post complaining about this and those commands help a lot, am playing with a 4070 ti, 1440p and the vram was a problem bc the frame gen (either from nvdia or amd) consumes valuable vram resources, making the game more stuttery than usual which is a problem bc frame gen works HORRIBLE when there is stutter, i have a 7800x3d, 32 ram and 7200mb/s m.2 why in the seven hells would i have stutter on this rig??? anyway... thanks again for the info, and they have to make it an option for those who want it, not forcing it, it's so obvious they just wanted to sell it with ''80% performance boost'' ffs...

Strangely the line is not totally saved in the archives of the lines of the console command, just half of the line, we have to type it (or copy/paste) at every connection. grrrrrrrrrr!

EDIT: what i've done, i right clicked on my desktop, "new", "text document" and i inserted the line here, so everytime i'm gonna launch ASA i will copy/paste this line here... just near my ASA launcher.

Just use win key + v :)

some of you may also want to use r.ScreenPercentage 100 , because by default the game doesnt render at its native 100% resolution even if the slider in the menu is set to it.

just saying. ;)

fsr and framegen gave me quite some ghosting and inputlag, and i wouldnt have wanted to play the the game with it.

i wonder why the devs dont give us the freedom to activate/deactivate this without fancy console commands, its just not right.

Why would you have stutters? Beware, the limited vram does has its consequences … I’m so sorry for you, that NVIDIA is not giving you/us enough vram . I mean it.
