Zeppelin weight limits wack
Yoo wat y'all think about the zeppelin and the weight limit can't even put a heavy dino on it cause u won't be a lot to move or even put in materials on aka a smithy with materials like wtf
The raft doesn't have that wonder if it's a bug or they intended it to work like that

I mean it is just balloons holding you up. makes sense. i dont know i get wanting it to be more useful though. Would be a great tool to move base locations or haul materials to and from.

Yes. They should either make it faster or increase the weight limit. I tried to use it as a starter base, but quickly gave up. It serves zero purpose right now (especially with the cosmo in the game), but looks really cool.

It sucks!!!
What the hell am I supposed to do with the Zeppelin??? It never flies!!
"Oh hey dude, come for a ride on my blimp."
NOPE. Won't Fly. Suddenly its too heavy, and all they have is some riot gear and ammo.
It works fine if you're in Admin/GCM mode (like how they test these things), but it doesn't work when you actually try to play the game.

A solution I found was to put items in containers.
I have not tried other containers, but the tek storage from the CS mod works to negate weight. I quickly dropped excess weight down to give me plenty of headroom in a two-story structure with beds, generator, lighting, and a flat roof sporting a nice turret.
I agree that the weight seems restrictive, but I imagine it is only a matter of time before someone creates a "Better Zeppelins" mod.

Good luck.

There are aleady at least 2 such mods.

Better steampunk structures and better zeppelins both have added weight capacity.

I use the Better Bob's Tall Tales mod, which buffs the robot as well as the zeppelin. Zeppelin weight capacity is raised to 6,000 and the 'sprint' speed is 3.3 instead of 1.2, making the zeppelin far less frustrating to use.

Personally, by the time I can make a zeppelin, I have flying mounts such as wyverns and quetzes, that are faster, more manoeuvrable, capable of dishing out a hell of a lot of damage and pick dinos up. I don't really use the zeppelin that much.

I use the zeppelin as a mobile base and respawn point. I park a flyer on top.

What I like about the Zep, is its ability to hover overhead, lower ladders, and land on water.

I typically use it as either a moblie taming platform to tranq dinos from a safe position, or as a diving platform for gathering pearls.
