Cant place thatch walls

I just started a world on the Aestros map, I have placed 4 thatch foundations. crafted 8 thatch walls, and can not place them. When I select place or press E on them, nothing happens. There is a click sound, but the ghost of the wall doesnt come up. I cant place them. It doesnt seem to happen with any other building type (that I have unlocked this early). I loaded my The Centre world and tried, and can place wood, but still cant place thatch. I have googled this, but no one else has mentioned it.

Anyone experiencing this?

My wife and I are having the same problem. Thatch only afaik. A green "ghost" placeholder appears in what seems to be a single frame or two. Then it immediately vanishes. So fast you might not even notice it. The wood wall works fine.

Log out, log back in it should cure it. It is an ongoing issue with many items within ark on placement. It used to be more frewuent with Mods, i.e ASR or Cs 9cyber structures) but now i see it with just placing a vanilla smithy. It even does not work after a re log sometimes. Route now is also to log out of Steam entirely and log back in and restart game. It will then 100% work.

I dont even get the green placeholder. Its ok, I progressed to wood structures in no time.
