2- If you can place multiple on the tame, you will get mutiple/stackable benifits. Different traits have different max stacks, as well as some traits being a different percentage depending on the tame.
3- Yes. And you can stack 3 of the same bearing trait.
Edit to add - You may (or may not want) to look up the mod Trait Upgrader, when adding genes to the gene bank, duplicates will combine and increase in level. Two Vampiric 1 (Thylacoleo) will become one Vampiric 2 (Thylacoleo)
I'm surprised too, as it's little a game changer that nobody shouts "it's pay to win!" (as we have saw with the Pyromane) as i think that there are 2 kind of people on officials PvP, those who can maximize their creatures, if they have purchased the "BTT" DLC and so, have access to the genes/traits, and those who didn't purchase "BTT" and can't maximize/optimize their creatures, no? Or i missed something? (for the moment i only play SP) 🤔
Protective applies while riding and lasts for 10 seconds after dismount. This is why I was wondering if a shoulder pet could benefit the player if they had those sorts of traits.
As for the trait upgrader, I have been looking at that. Especially since certain traits seem to be super rare at 2 or 3. I found one cosmo with Vampire 3, but other than that I have only ever seen vampiric at 1 or 2.
So by this account, I could load one of my breeders with Mutable Melee 3, 5 times, and get full numerical benefits... Nice. Or an anky with mineral bearing 3, 5 times.
I have a question as II do not play MP nor did I buy any mod pack aside from Omega which I have yet to actually play extensively.
Q: For those playing MP who have not bought BTT, can they still trade those "Min/Max" tamed from people who actually bought BTT?
I'm not sure what the limit is on mutable stacking, but bearing stack max is 3. That can be 3 mineral bearing 1, or 3 mineral bearing 3, I'm thinking 3 mineral bearing 3 and 2 quick hitting for ankylo.
This trait can be replaced on adult creatures.", i tried to inject the gene into an adult, and it wasn' t possible.
I haven't tried it, but the text would suggest that you add it to a baby (along with whatever else), raise the baby, saddle up and grind out xp on said now grown baby, then when your ready, replace that trait with another.
The concern here is there is no replace option with the gene scanner, just two seperate operations of extract and inject. Does the game track creatures that have had fast learner extracted to allow a slot to be injected with whatever else? Perhaps a buff appears on the creature with a timer allowing traits to be placed in an adult.
For the xp I'd just hatch a bunch of eggs and slaughter the babies /shrug
