Hot Bar not maintaining order
I've been playing the game for a while and, mid-play, noticed that my Hot Bar at the bottom of the screen was suddenly NOT keeping things where I placed them. Found out the HARD way when I went to wield my Pick Axe and accidentally drank a Trank Potion. Luckily I was in a safe location, but then when I tried to order my Hot Bar something kept moving them around on my immediately after I placed something.

I checked my Ordering potion at the top and it was set to Unsorted. I explicitly set it to Unsorted again, but the Hot Bar items continued to move contrary to direct placement. Any suggestion for what else might be doing this and how to fix it? Thanks.

Hold "Q"?
Didn't help. Q turns on or off the Tool Tips, listing WHAT an object is in Inventory, but it had ZERO affect on the Toolbar. When I try to place my Pick Axe in slot 1, it does go there and then either jumps to another slot or just jumps off the Toolbar back into Inventory. I can Equip the Pick Axe from Inventory, but it's MUCH easier to have it on the Toolbar.

Hold Q when your inventory isn't opened. It sounds like you got the Q hotbar activated. If "Qbar" is activated it says Hold Q on screen. The normal hotbar has hotkeys 1-0 and "Qbar" only 1-8.

I'll check again, next time I go play, but I thought I did that and it didn't help.

Just to confirm, while NOT in Inventory, press and hold the Q button and it should switch from an 8 Item Hotbar to a 10 Item Hotbar. I should then be able to go into Inventory and place the objects where I want and they'll stay there...

If that works, then good, but what is the point/purpose of the Q Hotbar?!?

The purpose is to be able to grab things not in your normal hotbar without having to open the inventory. I never use it tho.

Nor do I, at least not purposefully. I must have bumped my Q key at the wrong time, somehow...

Thanks. That did the trick. I probably hit Q at the wrong time, after using the Q key to put away a tool or weapon that was not in my Hotbar...
