What's going on with my Smithy inventory

Looks like the cosmetic menu.
I would first try to use another smithy, probably disable potential mods with cosmetics,
Already restarted the game? If yes, do a integrity check.

It started with Ark ascended, and the X on the items (and no item count) carries over to my inventory and any other inventory I put them in. :-/

IF YOU HAVE COSMETIC EQUIPED then all cosmetics for that slot will get a red cross. Remove the cosmetic from the item it's meant for and you see the cross dissapears.

its the inventory bug it affects your inventory and smithy ones too if you kill yourself and respawn it sometimes fixes it. The simple solution would be to roll back the cosmetic changes until the bug is fixed. But here we all are playing the game that currently broken to try and enjoy the game.

Normally I would say, yes that works, but it's putting the cosmetic cross on non cosmetic items. I think it's because the Holiday stuff is crafted in the Smithy in ASA instead of the cooking pot from ASE. :-/

Yes, but even disabling all of them, including Fear Ascended and it's still showing up. The only way I can reliably get it fixed is to just discard items
