Wyvern breeding level cap?
Im not pro-breeder, got female and male wyvern of 185lvl (initial). All babies from them are 185lvl too. Can they produce something better than 185?
ps.
Difficulty 2 + Max, so 185 seems like a cap for a wild ones.

The lvl of the dino is not what the baby will get, what the baby gets are stats from both parents, it is kind of like a dice roll unless if both parents have the exact same stats which might be the case if you got the parent wyvern eggs at the same time from the nearby area, because both babies have the stats of the wild wyvern that laid the egg, your options if that is true is to get mutations if you want the stats to get higher or get a new wyvern with different stats. The baby might get the hp and melee of the father and the rest of the stats from the mother so depending on which stats they inherit that is how high the lvl is (1 point in a stat gives 1 lvl to the dino). So if it inherits the higher stats of each parent then it can go to a lot higher than 185, however a high lvl baby does not actually mean it will be good, it might be high lvl because it has 60 points in oxygen and low points on everything else.
Also mutations on the baby give 2 extra points to a random stat so better keep an eye on those from the Ancestor tab since they don't always change the baby's color
If you want to get into breeding on a fully Vanilla server you should take a look at downloading Ark Smart Breeding on your computer, after you install and open it you only need to hold E on an unleveled dino then go to settings and press export dino, after that you just press last export on Ark Smart Breeding and it shows you the stats and colors of the dino. If you don't want to bother doing all that you just just use a mod like awesome spyglass to see the stats of the parents and if the baby got the ones you want but you can't use this one on any server you don't own and it doesn't have the mod
normally they should combine their best stats and come out with better levels. pretty weird that it doesnt happen.

there's two ways that the baby can come out with a higher level, the first is if the parents have different stats and the baby inherits the higher stats of both parents, the second is for the baby to get a mutation in a stat.

if you want to breed for mutations then id recommend watching the video "The BEST Breeding Guide on Mutations | Ark Survival Ascended" by SeeShell Gaming, its a long watch at 2hrs but you can skip parts that are repetitive or just watch the chapter/s your interested in.
