Silica pearls

So I have just about 1500 hours in ark survival evolved. Bought this recently and I like the changes (not sure why they couldn't do most of those changes to the other one besides the game engine change). Anyway I chose easy mode when I started in this one (sliders are 70% gone... why????) Im max level, died 3 times, done all but bosses, and caves... so here's the issue. I covered all the normal areas of where the silica pearls are. Even looked online for where they are in this new version of the game.... i only found 3 in the frozen north. Looked everywhere on the coast and hill side and cliff sides. And the icebergs. Swam down didnt see any. Did they move them recently yet again?

The Herbivore Island Cave has them, I've got a Bed and Cupboards in there. I Fast Travel every Week, to check it.

I get...
- Silica Pearls
- Oil
- Stone
- Some Crystal ( non re-spawning )

I put them in the Cupboard, along with a Pick and the Pearls and stuff, then fast travel out of there. When I've got enough, I grab my 3 Baryonyx, with their seriously Broken AI, and go down and get them.

More dangerously, there are Pearls on the Ice flows Clams, which now look exactly like small Rocks. The Ice Sheets that join onto the mainland, in the Arctic region. I've got a Base in the Arctic, so I can fast travel to it Weekly.

Pearls... they can be under the floor, so get your character grabbing, holding it on. Then move around the Herbivore Island Cave floor, until you pick them up. Re-Spawning takes ages, in Ark Ascended.


With 1500 Hours, you'll know this already...

Hard mode is the way to play, then just adjust the settings on tames and babies.

If you're playing single player, you could always just farm pearls from scorched earth and send them to the island. Chitin too while you're there.

I've noticed even in the north on the sea bed they blend in with the rocks really well. They are there just try spamming E. They are even harder to see on SE especially at the blue obelisk.

Its not like in ASE where they stood out

Pretty sure this is the issue you are having as they can be pretty hard to see but I find lots in the snow biome on the sea floor. Use an angler fish to harvest them and you will have tons.

Clams containing Pearls...

ASE... look like Clams, easy to see, on surfaces. Just see them, then pick them up.

ASA... look like small rocks, nestled and hidden among real small rocks, sometimes under new scenery, and can't be seen. Got to hold Pick-up, and just move around until you eventually pick something up.

They moved a bunch of things. Including Oil, Penguins and the pearls.

Yeah... I know. Still playing Ark Ascended The Island, just waiting for a patch to allow my Thyla to get on Rafts again, before I serious start playing again. Invisible forcefields around all the Rafts, stopping my Thyla ( big Cats ) getting on them, since the Aprils Fools Day Update.

Penguins are still everywhere in the Arctic, but their AI is damaged. An enemy attacks a Baby Penguin, and they all line up to get killed off the enemy. I've seen them actually line up, thinking they can take out a high level enemy.

Oil changed, but still easy to get from the Arctic and the Herbivore Cave. Tons of it in the waters around Herbivore Island. Also my Swamp Base has Coral in the River, that my high level Anky gets loads of Oil off, with zero danger or effort, just a bit grindy...

Pearls are still there, they just changed the Clam textures, to look like rocks, for some reason. Also... some of them are beneath the new rocks they added in Ark Ascended, making them hard to see and pick up.

The penguins are in the same spots they were in ASE though? If you play single player they sometimes have issues spawning on the islands in the snow biome but eventually they will.

Lul, 1500 hrs of ingame time but still a noob. There are some Pearl Caves on the island to farm tons of pearls. Just take a Anglerfish with you.

So you commented to cause a fight to do attacks? How do you expect that to go over that I would cry and say you're right? You don't seem very intelligent. Because if you have this opinion then you wouldn't have responded at all. You must have had a dementia brain fart or something because you wasted your own time and mine, and NO ONE made you respond or read anything you chose to do that yourself.

Further, I wrote this article because they MOVED a whole bunch of things. And on MY play through the pearls were not appearing where they usually were when I last played back in 2018.
