I am using 64gb or DDR5 ram, i would at the very least get 32gb.
As i said its the worst time to make a new system, waiting maybe 4-6 more months would be best as you will have really good deals for the current generation products, or if money is no object have access to the newest generation of new tech.
ASA is not gonna go anywhere, i would enjoy ASE (the original) for now, it has more content and will run decent on a laptop.
(Edit: Typo)
not sure i would recommend Intel CPU's right now, alot of issues need to be ironed out.
More info about why no one should be buying a 13th or 14th gen Intel CPU.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVdmK1UGzGs&t=200s
intel has failed by providing poor lanes support
either older x299 with 2 amd gpus with SBS infinieye for streamer(sunshine)
or amd cpu with 2 amd gpus with SBS infinieye for streamer(sunshine)
ram is 12gb ram per m.2 you have at gen3(ram speed doesnt matter in multiplayer as the server rig handles all that)
for a hosting machine i would suggest a 14900ks and 24gb ram per server over a amd rig
While I myself am using a 4070 ti super with the aforementioned cpu and the game runs rather well if money allows the 4090 is truly a beast... an overpriced one but a beast none the less.
Also get atleast 2tb storage. This game if anything like evolved is potentially going to be around 400 GB if not more.
I got a White NZXT H9 Flow Case, which I love, and is really big.
First again. Motherboard. This is what you should really invest into to get stable
performance. Pick OC gaming versions like Asus ROG. Even if you not planning to OC anything. Dont buy one that has thing u wont use (like wifi, if you planning to use cable connection only, or audio if you got external card, integrated GPU in any case and so on - less useless ♥♥♥♥ - better).
Second. Cooling. Water. Good. Performant. Cooling Live Matters. + as much coolers as your case can go with. 10,20 ... more better if they installed in right places.
Second and half. RAM. DDR5 32gb+, dont looka at ultra-super-turbo-maga speeds. Dont take cheap ♥♥♥♥. Everything behind 4800 is ok. Stability is the key.
Third. GPU. 4090 or 4080 (depends on budget). Again, pick up OC versions like Asus ROG series. They are more stable on high loads. Plus u will have some performance reserve in case u need it.
Next. 1 SSD/NVME for OS and small apps, it must be at least 40% free all the time.
1 NVME (like Samsung 980 PRO or something like that). 1TB min. Just for games. Again, never fill it totally - it wil loose performance. Thats why i got 1 exclusively for ARK-only.
One drive - one task = performance.
Next. PCU. Depends on system consumption. With some reserve in mind.
General rule :
Never.Buy.Cheap.♥♥♥♥. Even if it is 5090 Turbo Mega Ultra GPU form TomatoBoards Inc.
Dont use ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mid-cheap external devices that can affect core latency/stability.
First thing to do, after ALL drivers installed/updated on clean os: Run OOCT for 1 hour. In extreme mode. First time watch out for CPU overheat :)
Main rule: never listen to ppl in internet.
