I can't believe I just did this, I went to the south snow cave on the center and started killing yetis, one of the yetis spawned with a baby and I thought, "There's no way, they would have patched that out already" so I walked up to it and it told me to claim it, now I have a breeding pair of yetis

Not sure if this is map or cave specific in any way, but again, I'm in the south snow cave on the center.
After doing a bit of research I found out other people have noticed this too, so I'm not the first one, but I figure I would have heard about it by now if it was well known so I'll spread the word anyway

Yep since map release both ice caves
