Good luck with the game...
Your post was helpful though and not just bashing someone for being frustrated with having their game crashing. I agree with you on the fact that we keep playing it so it is something good. Also I played official even though it was toxic until they shut down our servers and lost all our bases. The issue I have had on unofficial is every time I get built up the server gets shut down because someone gets bored or tired of spending money on servers.
I have gotten to the point where I play fibercraft because you can have fun for a few hours and then not play again for a couple weeks or month and not lose anything. Hopefully they will get the unofficial servers working before the weekend is over so we can play. I work a lot so I don't have a ton of time and it seems like they always like to break unofficial right at the beginning of the weekends I have a bit of free time.
p.s.
Partly true. f*ck you Audi !!!
its insane im playing a Alpha access UE5 game with better graphics and runs 1000 times better with 160 frames at max settings. Seriously after seeing how SCREWED up Evolved was and unable to fix it because of all the content. WC's incompetence is mind-blowing they cannot learn from past mistakes, perpetuating the same stupidity. Dino's still have the retarded mid body collision sticking heads through structures, Still takes forever for giga sized breeding pens to load, still has the same failed and ignorant structure foundation support system that prevents AC sheltered Breeding for large dino's. `WTB common sense for 200 Alex.
The update on June 27th caused wide spread issues across the board. I have a 4080 super and had all setting to epic with little to no crashes ever in 800hrs on asa until that update. Having read many solutions suggestions pertaining to forcing direct x 11 with steam game command -dx11. However having ran prior settings on epic that looked potato quality and was unplayable imo. For myself I've found that the crashes were somehow correlated to my foliage quality and/or view distance. When those two setting were reduced to high from epic setting crashes no longer occurred while flying, fast travel. Again everything worked prior to this update on epic and with what I've read of others having the same issue I've realized this Is a affecting many people since the June 27th update so rest assured you aren't alone. It's the same one plaguing high and lower end systems causing them to crash everytime they go to open the game and has been speculated to be a dlss/ direct x issues with arks optimization.
P.s. idk why you all are talking so much ♥♥♥♥ about homie spending more on his pc than you. Who cares. His point wasn't that he spent more than you or he was better. It was that he's not impeded by system hardware and yet the optimization is causing an inability to play a game he paid for. Have you not had any issues with WC "optimization" lol. I love ark and will continue to play it, however do i appreciate poorly optimized updates that hinder performance requiring server rollbacks or patches to repair what was supposed to be a fix? Absolutely not. Not a fan of doing a full system check, driver rollbacks, game file verifications etc all in an attempt to unsuccessfully fix a problem caused by a release of a poorly optimized patch which caused some players to lose the ability to play and other like me having to lower visual quality to make it crash free as prior to there "patch".
I built my computer for $800 about 7 years ago, put an Intel A770 in it recently and it runs pretty consistently 30-50fps, at the best of times. The worst of times is after patches so I tell my computer it's not it's fault, it will get better later on.
