How much heat resist do you need???
I have 248 heat resistance while wearing my desert armor and I'm still getting the max overheated debuff during heatwave. How much heat resistance do you actually need to be able to handle heatwaves? Cause this is kinda of insane.

guys.... the heat wave have infinity heat for that moment. it is ment for you to seek shelter in adobe house or in a tent. during a heatwave no mather how great your heat resistence or forti is.

in the oasis place by the river is the heatwave less effective. the big flame wil turn in a smaller flame during a heatwave. makeing those locations the best places to live if you are starting out.

Gear is much more important than your fortitude stat so don't waste toomuch point into fortitude

If it has infinity heat, the oasis wouldn't help.
Temperatures are just absurd.
Even though the popup says "get underground!" Being underground with the "sheltered" icon still doesn't protect you.

My base in the low desert goes from -70°F to 170 and the 170 isn't even necessarily during the heat wave.

i'm not that good with wording but you understand wrong. infinity heat is AREA sensitieve. in the sand desert the outer layer is higher in burning. then normale area's and oasis areas next to rivers are lower.

you can only influence temp of the oasis river area's with forti and resistance. as that base temp is pretty damn low. but a tiny flame does not burn you anyway XD

also that you are resistance to something does not make you immune to it. ;)

I have 130 points in fortitude, after the latest update I'm dying inside of adobe base or tent - so currently 'seeking shelter' is no longer a solution either. It is so sad that this game has such a great potential but it seem that every update the developers seem to only break something that was working before. So far have not noticed single positive change. I really get that this game supposed to be challenging but this is rather insanity.
