help with save

hey everyone so i recently moved a old backup save to my new game i load in with my character level but everything else is gone and its starting me from day 1 can i fix it or has it gone forever

There are a bunch of file "types" that you need to backup/copy from your old save. These include: TheIsland_WP.ark or ScorchedEarth_WP.ark(the world and all your stuff), PlayerIDString.arkprofile(the character file that is bugged RN on dedicated servers when you transfer causing total loss of characters), .arktribe(info about your tribe), PlayerIDSting.Profilebak(backup of your character profile), PlayerIDString.arktribetribute(not sure what this does exactly but backup/copy it too.) Basically you need to backup/copy the WHOLE folder where your world is saved and keep those handy in case you need to rollback manually. Hope that helps. Whenever I transfer to/from SE on my dedicated server i HAVE TO WATCH in realtime that my .ARKPROFILE file gets uploaded to \cluster folder and then re-written to the "destination map folder" when I spawn into the destination map which sometimes(randomly) it does NOT resulting in total character loss and I have to restore all files b4 I transferred and log back into the map i LEFT. It is annoying AF as this bug STILL persists in server version 39.6 as of Apr. 10, 2024. SE has been out 8 days and they STILL haven't fixed this!!!) Be warned!

To backup a save proper, you need to backup following folders with their content:

1)
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\LocalProfiles

2a) Map The Island
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal\TheIsland_WP

2b) Map Scorched Earth
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\ScorchedEarth_WPSavedArksLocal\ScorchedEarth_WP

To backup your designed character you need to backup the file:
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal\Most Recent Template.arkcharactersetting

If you own more backups as only one with different time and date, restore number 1) and number 2x always with same date and time.
