Rat holes were already fixed and working as intended per Wild Card's latest patch notes...
It's intended that you can't spawn inside, as the above posts mentioned, hence it's fixed to how wildcard intend it to be.
If you fail to read patch notes or listen to explanations then that is on you.
So are we just suppose to build out in the open and get offline raided then?
That "intended" patch means you can't even spawn inside of the buildings of SE, or under any sort of cliff overhang no matter how far up. It's beyond stupid and full of unintentional consequences for the game.
Unofficial servers can adjust and balance with offline raid protection leveraging plugins.
I only host and play on PVE so never bothered with ORP setups.
