How to enable dlss in settings with a rtx 4090 on steam version?

Ever since I bought the game on steam the DLSS version has been greyed out and im not sure how to fix it. I have a rtx 4090 so it shouldnt be the issue with my gpu. Is there a setting or menu I need to use to enable it? Everything I have nvidia related has been updates to the newest drivers.

I haven't had this problem with Ark, but occasionally I've had to alter whether a game was fullscreen or windowed fullscreen to be able to use DLSS for other games.
