Official Servers do not allow account sharing ?!?!? Since WHEN !

Is this something I've missed ??

I have an account, with a main character, I also have a max level crafter character, as most people do.... I moved my crafter character to scorched earth where I built up.

After the patch today I try to log on to my crafter on scorched earth and got the message

"Official Server do not allow account sharing."

Are you taking the ABSOLUTE P""S ?

I got blindsided by this and lost a high level character. I've sunk, dozens of hours into it. And now cuz i bought the game on my other account and family'd it to this one. Dozens of hours of gameplay and my LIFE are wasted.

If i could still get that character on my other account, it'd be fine. I don't need more than one character, like a crafter or a ban bypass alt etc. I just want my hard work returned.

I cant believe they have done this without any announcement, I would love to get my stuff from Scorched Earth, but now no dice....

This happened to me and several tribemates as well. This is particularly wrong for the company to do because they marketed the game as being able to have up to 5 shared accounts per platform. This is a plan for the company to milk their customers of more money for the same game.

No, family share is when multiple accounts share one game but only one can play at a time. I'm guessing they did this because people who were getting banned from official would just make new steam accounts and share the game being able to get back in without buying another copy. So the bans were pointless as long as family sharing was possible on officials. I still don't see it in the patch notes like someone claimed.
