Character getting deleted neeeed help!!!!

My character keeps getting deleted when uploading my survivor from the island to scorched earth. This is on a non dedicated server my friend runs. It seems to be linked to when u transfer and you download your character if its not in tribe if you log off your character is gone. Anyone else having any issues with this? Is this a server admin issue or a bug from wildcard? We got almost 8 people who play on this server and people are getting very annoyed by this! need help!!!!

yup happened to me twice. Remade character use a ton of cheat codes to reclaim what was mine and started saving every 2 min. I play on a single player game so this is just mind boggle that it loses my survivor. Hoping at some point they make the game playable again.

not sure if its wild card or like a server setting idk but its getting very annoying

i was deleted remade my survivor got back into my new SE base to find my dead self on the floor could not access inventory finally dragged me outside and waiter for tyler to kill the old me and finally got my gear. Which i had taken off and stored before running back to the island. So yeah i am over it.

Thanks for the link seems to have a lot of helpful info that might help fix some issues still is a wild card issue but can do something’s to make it work better.

So I have my game pass character and my steam character on the same server in the same tribe.
Last night I just watched my game pass character revert to level 1 and lose all items.
This happened around the time I was applying a skin to the building the character was sleeping on a bed inside.

Found the temporary fix to your player profile not getting saved correctly when you Ascend or Transfer maps. When you get to the new map learn 1 engram to force the server to save your profile. If you have none to learn then mindwipe and relearn things. I did rigorous testing, World Saves, Taming something, spending time on the map, fast travel, death, applying or removing a buff, getting an explorer note all WILL NOT force the server to save your profile. Only thing that will is learn an Engram!

Has just happened to me in singleplayer. So they haven't fixed anything. But hey at least there is more bobs pay to win items.

I am on single player so my solutions may not work for server.

I realized that this is a tribe compatible problem, I read some people's post and saw people using ForcePlayerToJoinTargetTribe to force join tribe and get this solution.

Simply, after your ascension on the island do NOT download your character at any new map, just download your character back to the island map. If you want to simply move from the island to the scorched earth, do not use the Obelisk, just do the following:

Assuming that you are moving a character from the island to the scorched earth,

(1) First open this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal
(2) there must not be ScorchedEarth_WP folder, if there is, delete the whole ScorchedEarth_WP folder (which removes your scorched earth records) (well, you want to move your island character to scorched earth right? of course you want to delete stuff in scorched earth)
(3) Go the your game, click Create or Resume Game, observe that there is no save icon for scorched earth.
(4) Click single player, create a new character, get into the scorched earth map.
(5) run a bit, click save games, click exit to main menu
(6) observed that under SavedArksLocal folder, now ScorchedEarth_WP folder appears, with three files inside

LocalPlayer.arkprofile - which is your new character
181800000.arktribe - which is your new tribe that your new character sits in
ScorchedEarth_WP.ark - the map world

Now, important step: delete LocalPlayer.arkprofile and 181800000.arktribe.

(7) Go to folder TheIsland_WP, Copy 1700686425.arktribe and 1700686425.tribebak and LocalPlayer.arkprofile and LocalPlayer.profilebak to ScorchedEarth_WP folder.

The number could be different, this 1700686425 is your tribe number, simply put, you forced copy your tribe and characters from the island into the scorched earth.

(8) Now... enter scorched earth, respawn your character, and boom.... you wake up with your Island old character

(9) if you want to move items from the Island to scorched earth, just enter the Island and upload items and dino, do not upload character, go to scorched earth (your characters have already been moved), download items and dinos no problem
