single player, how to download and upload survivor between maps?

went to an obelisk, uploaded items, a dino, and my survivor.
went to SE, no option to download on new map, so created a survivor
went to obelisk, items were there, dino was there
only option was to upload that survivor now

"Went to SE, no option to upload" - Yes, because UPLOADed you've done already.
After upload character, press ESC twice and go to main menu. Go to sub menu with the installed maps and choose SE.
In the character setting screen choose DOWNLOAD. Then you can choose the place to wake up on the SE map.

To start again with SE AND upload your character to SE in the proper way, move all items and Dinos back to The Island via obelisk.
Then close ARK and delete complete folder with content:
..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\ScorchedEarth_WPSavedArksLocal
Start ARK and change map again in proper way.

So after you choosed SE and started, there is no button 'Download' in the character setting screen at left below? Thats strange. Must be a bug then.
You can give it a try to:
