Heat Stroke bugged

I've been gaining geat stroke recently while logged out of the game. Getting back in and staying cool (cold even during a rainy night) does not cure the status effect. Once I cured it by bed hopping but even that's not working anymore. Any solutions? Just a bug to deal with for now?

heatstroke stacks when logged out. swamp fever cant be cured by going to scorched earth now too.

I don't remember it working like that on the old map. Seems silly to gain debuffs while logged out of the game if this is actually intended. I'm sure I can probably remove it by killing my character, but having to do it each time I log in to play is a bit ridiculous.
