placing Water well in desert, water well shows "not irrigated" same for any nearby water tanks... the watertaps work fine... seeing if i can find a work around.
all we can do is daisy chain the water tanks from river/lake/puddle.
although if your daisy chain of water tanks reach the water-well it will irrigate the well but that is not a fix.
--time to wait for another fix (patch). (or if someone figures out some bizarre thing that fixes it.
---i'm just going to play at a different base till then.
Built base on a platform above. Put Water Intake at water, then placed a Water Tank above on the platform as it showed the blue arrow inside that its connected. Then placed a water tap inside the blue range of the tank.
This vid shows it: https://youtu.be/mwktwoJyeAU?si=yyL16pVcJBLwi3IA&t=470
If your base is far away from the water intake, you need more tanks to connect them as chain until water reaches your base.

The problem is with the water well, not the intake.
you can bring the Water over the whole map, 1 Waterintake and Waterstorages on the corner with a new waterstorage on thiy corner and step for step far far away you have water ;)
Place down a foundation in the water source.
Attach an intake to the foundation.
Now you have a radius of water to draw from.
Place a nearby the water tank/storage.
After placing the tank go up to it and hold down E to get the radial wheel.
Select Show Radius on the wheel.
Now you will have a sphere showing how far your water extends.
Place another water tank/storage inside that sphere to extend the next sphere.
You can go across the map if you want or up mountains as long as the new tank touches the last placed tank's sphere.
I prefer the pipes but this is what we have now.
