Can they be placed on Ceilings or pillars ? no idea how the elevation issues can be dealt with.
with some small rules mind you.
1: cannot exceed a certain distance.
2: no moderate turns (small bends are fine.)
3: no moderate ups or downs (small bending down or up work.)
I find that using the "short" rail between larger rails to connect the Flex pieces work best.
i sometimes get the bendy track to work. going up hill is the problem. currently the system is not working well enough to make trains any more than a cosmetic item. i have tried for hours to lay track around the outside of the SE map where the sand is somewhat flat in places, without much luck.
fix the train track system please and provide trestles.
Trestles would be very nice. I found that just putting the entire track off the ground helps a bit, just succumb to the elevated tracks concept and have them supported by (any) pillars and it allows your to create a much longer track.
My newest issue is attempting to create a triangle junction which is proving to be off by the most ridiculously tiny amount.
currently its drop a piece, clear ahead, drop another repeat infinitely is stupidly slow and risky due to hostile mobs, tight bends are not a thing and there isn't enough flat ground to even create even a small circle track (the smallest natural one i managed was something like 50 foundations in diameter and i had to create pillars for it to stand on in places)
setting each track piece about 7-8 foundations apart on a set of 4 ceilings on 2 high pillars with flex connects in between tracks, possibly you can angle it up/down in places to smooth it out but the flex track only likes to connect to one side for some reason.
over the last hour i managed to create a track 35 seconds long and it has maybe gone 150 foundations if i'm lucky.
to get to red ob -> blue ob -> green ob -> red ob as a solo alone could take months to build (without breaking to do any mining or anything add in gathering resources could make that over a year, maybe a 4-5 person clan could do it in around a month with gathering).
