Not true.. 30 series cards can run ASA very well if they added frame generation and optimized it properly.
yea i guess it is indeed a joke that can run cyberpunk at 50-60 fps on med/high :)
He is right. Even with FSR3 FG you will start see artifacts, glitches and other visual issues if you have low base FPS. Stable 60 FPS are needed at least for a FG experience without issues. And starting at around ~100 base FPS (so around 200 FPS cap) FG also fails. FG is made to hit 120 (60 base FPS) or 144 (~70-80 FPS) FPS. 50 base FPS are okay too, but you see glitches here and there.
Yeah a GTX 1660 Ti achieves very, very similiar results. What was the release date of GTX 1660 Ti? Ah, right, 2019.
3050 is just bad and makes no sense in the RTX series. Even 3060 is not that good. The sweatspot for current low end GPUs from team green starts at 3060 Ti. Or now the 4060 Ti.
ASA is unoptimized but you cant expect wonders with a old low end card, espically UE5 in general. And Cyberpunk is not a good comparison since its one of the biggest partners of Nvidia. Obviously Nvidia optimized the hell out of their drivers for Cyberpunk.
FSR upscaling and frame generation is in the game, it just can't be enabled through the settings menu (wildcard why!?)
To do this, you need to go to the Engine.ini config located in your games installation folder (ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\Windows)
Next, add the following at the end of the ini:
[/script/ffxfsr3settings.ffxfsr3settings]
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.Enabled=True
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.UseNativeDX12=True
r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled=True
To enable and change the upscaling, enter the following as a command:
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode (number from 0 to 4 with 1 being quality and 4 being ultra performance)
There does seem to be some temporal stability issues with the frame generation, but the performance uplift is significant enough that I don't mind.
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.Enabled=True
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.UseNativeDX12=True
r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled=True
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode=1
[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV
yes already have it, also fix for widescreen FOV
Sadly this doesnt work at all for me. Still no Options available. Had hope for a sec.
You don't change it in the settings, it automatically enables it if you enter it correctly in the config. The FSR toggle in settings is for FSR Native AA which is not upscaling or frame generation.
