The only things I even have active at my base anymore that can lay eggs are terrorbirds and allos, and I don't have any trouble collecting from them.
I use a pair of Oviraptors (female and male), both set on wandering. My rexes and the oviraptors are enclosed in a small area. I have the feeling that they collect more rex eggs that way. I get both fertilized and non-fertilized eggs.
If you want the eggs for crafting kibble you can use non-fertilzed eggs for that, too.
The problem is my dinos (none of them, I tried Raptors too) aren't laying unfertilized eggs. They will only lay fertilized eggs if the male/female pair have mating enabled. Right now, fertilized eggs are the only way I can obtain eggs for kibble and it's killing me.
I actually had the same issue on my solo server. I solved it by changing the delay between egg laying ("Lay Egg Interval" in Advanced Settings). Indeed, I had put 5 or 6 as multiplier to save time but it looks like it was doing the opposite (despite what is saying the setting description). Because after changing it to 0.1 I saw quickly some unfertilized eggs spawn.
I think you also need to set dinos to be wandering if it's not already done. I usually fill their inventory with stone or heavy stuff to avoid them from going anywhere.
Hope it'll help !
