Unfertilized Eggs
Hello! Looking for some help since I'm not sure if this is something to do with my game settings or my Nitrado server itself. My dinos will not lay unfertilized eggs, at all. I have a pair of Kairukus that are mate boosted and I have an Oviraptor (with food in the trough so it doesn't eat the eggs) and all I get are fertilized eggs. What could possibly be causing this? Has anyone else had the same issue? Help, please!

I know there's still a bug where feces from smaller animals will clip into the ground so you won't know it's there unless you see it drop. Might apply to their eggs too.

The only things I even have active at my base anymore that can lay eggs are terrorbirds and allos, and I don't have any trouble collecting from them.

I don't have experience with Kairukus but with Moschops and Rexes.

I use a pair of Oviraptors (female and male), both set on wandering. My rexes and the oviraptors are enclosed in a small area. I have the feeling that they collect more rex eggs that way. I get both fertilized and non-fertilized eggs.

If you want the eggs for crafting kibble you can use non-fertilzed eggs for that, too.

The problem is my dinos (none of them, I tried Raptors too) aren't laying unfertilized eggs. They will only lay fertilized eggs if the male/female pair have mating enabled. Right now, fertilized eggs are the only way I can obtain eggs for kibble and it's killing me.

Do you still face this problem ?

I actually had the same issue on my solo server. I solved it by changing the delay between egg laying ("Lay Egg Interval" in Advanced Settings). Indeed, I had put 5 or 6 as multiplier to save time but it looks like it was doing the opposite (despite what is saying the setting description). Because after changing it to 0.1 I saw quickly some unfertilized eggs spawn.

I think you also need to set dinos to be wandering if it's not already done. I usually fill their inventory with stone or heavy stuff to avoid them from going anywhere.

Hope it'll help !

You need to have more females, as the Egg Laying chances are low. The mate laying is set to a timer, the Egg laying is set to chance. More Females Penguins, with 1 Male and you get more chances of Eggs.

Try...
1 Male
9 Females around him, got to be near to a male to lay Eggs, even unfertilized.

I have this problem with Yutyrannus, so I have lots of females.
Tickle chickens, lay Tons of Eggs.
