Better performance lately
Has anyone seen an improvement recently? I didn't see any update regarding optimization yet I'm getting almost double the fps I used to run at. With and without frame gen.

Yeah I usually run some admin commands to speed things up and make it look like a potato, but i noticed my input latency and frames went improved greatly without altering anything
I have been playing SE since its launch with no crashing at all, even with going in and out of inventories. Its been awesome not having to keep saving all the time manually. no latency issues. Fps is a bit better...getting about 60fps on my Nvidia RTX 3060 OC.But, it seems my graphics have suffered a bit where it didn't before on the settings I am using ..a bit of flickering with the ground plants/grass and leaves on the trees. I am still using r.volumetric cloud 0, as the clouds still look naff tbh. I will have to tweak my settings a bit to see if I can improve the flickering that is annoying.
The only annoyance I have with the game on SE is the back to back storms...they are far too frequent, like every few mins, my Jerboa's are going nuts all the time. they need reigning in a bit. I don't mind a storm now and then, but this frequency is ridiculous.
But I am happy to be able to play with no crashes now.

My SE experience has been almost faultless as well< I have not played the Island since SE came out so can't comment about the performance there.

As far as the weather events go they have announced a weather nerf in the patch due out this week so like it or not they will reduce the frequency/severity of weather effects.

That is music to my ears lol I will look forward to that. At the moment I am having to get rid of the storms as they occur using a console command.
Good to see WC actually doing something positive with the game. I just pray they don't naff other things up trying to fix one issue

Opposite, it dramatically decreased with the SE or earlier update. There was an update a month or two after release that got everything working pretty well honestly, then a week or three ago they took it out back and shot it. Back down to unplayable levels with a top of the line system (for AMD, not NVIDIA I don't think).

Crashing was fixed with that initial patch, now fairly rare (on clean systems obv).

about the same, apart from some new stuttering in the main menu
