Does the frontier pack work on both maps?

I haven't gotten the pack yet, and I haven't seen any confirmation one way or the other that tells me if you can use frontier content on the island, or if it is going to be engrams exclusive to scorched earth just like items from the base game.
I'm kinda trying to do a story playthrough where I only move on to the next map after beating the previous one, so if I can only use the new content on SE then I might wait and potentially catch a sale at some point

I was just looking at a build group on facebook and the author was showing off pictures of the train on the Island map, he did use creative mode to build it so I'm thinking it won't be officially available but if you have access to use spawn commands it is possible.

Apparently the engrams are actually just siting there waiting to be unlocked, with the only thing restricting you being that you have to buy the pack to use them, also noticed that the scorched earth engrams are unlockable from the island too, could come in handy. Definitely going to be buying the frontier pack at some point

how are people putting down train tracks on the island? i gave up on my quest to circle the SC map with train tracks, placement was very very tricky. i managed to make it around about 1/3rd of the map in the flat'ish sand but it was crazy time consuming. the island only has a few flat spots now...
