A game should be more fun than frustrating.
They are annoying in ASE aswell but at least you got llike half a day breathing time at worse.
Sound is broken too, it's either ear shattering loud or so silent, I wondered multiple times if my headphones are daed. I mean, sure, you don't hear wind and thunder as loud when you're inside, but it shouldn't be dead silent. xD
The availability of internet makes it even easier: Release what you have and patch fix it some time later.
Even smarter: mark your game as Early Access, that's a fine excuse to deliver half finished stuff and have poor performance on top of it. ppl know they might get something unfinished, and there's nothing one can do about it besides not byuing; too bad we already bought...
Jokes aside now, there are some "hidden" gems, early access or not, that are working fine.
Funny enough, these are mostly from small/indie companies; guess it helps a lot when you don't have another big company on your back all the time.
I took a break and came back later. I had over an hour with only 1 sandstorm. in that time I got a building with a bed. I managed to survive the next heatwave with clothes, shelter, and some investment in fortitude. Still occasionally die to heat but not as often.
I think it's just bad luck. just keep going and it gets easier
