Never played a map on release date, and was curious if Ark will give us a time we can download? Are the PVP servers usually playable day 1? I've heard that rollbacks are terrible the first day, is this normally true? Thanks for any info!

Every release is different, although their track record doesn't really inspire confidence.

I never plan to actually play on release day. I'd be shocked to get it downloaded on day one, much less be able to play. If you do get in, just expect hiccups, lag spikes, graphical weirdness, rollbacks, and all manner of expectedly-unexpected bullcrap. Nature of the beast, and most of us long-term players have just come to accept it for what it is.

If it does work, then hey, groovy.

Thats the problem with official.. i am awaiting the download for dedi servers and yes that also may take some time
