The main thing that made me interested in this game is the gigantoraptor

I understand that its a mod, but its going to be properly released as a creature for the "center" which is delayed.

I own the originals but would like to play the nicer looking version and i have 33% discount as well.

I want to know is, if I get the game and get a gigantoraptor, will it disappear if i remove the mod when the creature is officially added?

If the raptor is tied to a mod and it is officially added then it SHOULD stay, as you can get dlc dinos on the regular island, but I don't do mods for the reason it deters from the intended experience.

However the game is worth getting for the much nicer visuals/char customisation and if you play singleplayer they've added a "RepairArea" command too

yeah i mean, they added the raptor as a mod so people can use it but it was supposed to come with the center that got delayed lol.

I do play singleplayer and pve multiplayer havent touched the original game in a while tho since genesis part 1

official mods like the holiday events should stay once the content is added to the main game. however its touch and go with that process. i wouldnt trust it 100% as several people including myself still have items missing from official mods like the crampus skin from the christmas event.

with that i cant be 100% sure that the island raptor mod will be treated like a vanilla gigantoraptor once its released or as a mod dino like with the other creatures.

the gigantoraptor will probably get pushed back into ragnarok now that the center got delayed giving them more time to work on the big fish instead.

should I get this game? visually looks pretty nice. I have a 4070 GPU so should be able to run it fine

asa is the better version of ark with tweaks and improvements to the more annoying game mechanics like breeding and base building, however it is not finished. it has many more bugs than the original and is missing most of its content by only having the island map. i would wait and see how everybody reacts to scorched earth which is supposed to come out in a few days.

if they did a overhaul to the map (more caves, bosses, etc) that the original really needed then it would be an easy sell. if not and its just the same tweaks and a graphics update with the new Bob paid dlc pack having the new good content i would just wait for when the gigantoraptor is officially released and get the whole thing on discount.
