Does anybody else miss pipes?
I actually hate the new system. The radius of a water tank really isn't that far, so you're going to have to put down multiple of them if you actually want to move water around, and they look awful dotting the landscape, definitely worse than a small grey line running across the ground, and they're so much more expensive than pipes, you need cementing paste to craft water tanks, it's not like five cementing paste is going to break the bank or anything, but cementing paste is notoriously one of the most annoying resources to craft, if you break down the resources it's seventy frigging stone to craft a stone water tank!
It's not like pipes were even that bad to place, it wasn't even something you had to think about after they introduced flexible pipes, if I had the option to go back I would just keep crafting pipes

Wireless Water is lazy, I used to love running Water Pipes across the map, putting them on top of Stone Pillars. They looked amazing, the way I used to lay them, adding immersion to the game.

Now I just put up Wireless Towers all over the place, that look like Water Tanks.

No Sprinklers, Pipes, Water Rationing.

But I stopped playing Ark Ascended, when the April Fools Day Update broke Rafts, stopping half the Dino's in Ark using Taming Rafts.
Along with the Thyla's ( Big Cats ), not being able to jump forwards now.

I keep waiting for an update to fix the problem...

i miss cables aswell :/ i could wire my whole island home to one generator under the foundations, felt like a dam electrician lol now i need ugly big generators to have working lights along my walls. i agree that this system is lazy now, they could at least give us the option to use cables (imo)

As a server admin I love not having to clean them up from abandoned bases...
They had their charm ofc, but I am going with the lazy me and prefer it this way.
Though I guess a mod to add it back wouldn't hurt anyone.

I haven't messed around with the new electric system yet because I've been playing other games, but one thing I always loved about cables was that you could run the cables as far away from the generator as you wanted, and keep your power supply all the way outside your base so you didn't have to listen to the noise. I'm not sure how wide the power radius is but that was a problem I immediately ran into with the tek generator in the original game, hopefully I won't have to put my generator smack dab in the center of my base

I couldn't stand how janky they were, but they would be a nice option for long distance transport.

I had a Paraceratherium with a cool platform saddle with stairs and floors that allowed me to build cable/pipe systems up in the air. I called him "Cable Guy". It's a shame there is no need for a Cable Guy in the new game.

I like pipes but I can see why some wouldn't. Personally I like planning my build around electricity and plumbing.
