mods refuse to install

heya all, i am having some weird issues with installing a couple mods to play on a friends server. anytime i try to isntall them they run fine at first the 5-25% in they simply stop moving for hours or just straight up cancel the download with no notification on it or anything. been having this issue for 3 weeks now and its virtually rendering the game unplayable apart from vanilla which is bad as it is : ( any known fixes? ive seen 6-7 other posts with 15ish people in each having the same error yet i have yet to find a single fix nor mention of it from the devs/curseforge officials?

Had the same issue a while back. Installing and updating mods is always like Russian roulette in ASA. Had to restart the game a couple of times and retry to install the mods until it somehow magically worked.

yeah, unfortunately i have been trying that for 2 weeks at this point with no succes : (

Hi friends! try this-
1 everything must be done at night so that the evil spirits of random do not see your manipulations :)
2 to reduce the load on PC, change the resolution of your monitor extension to a minimum, for example 800x600 (then, when you manage to start the mod, you can adjust it as it was, or as you like)
3 Temporarily change the source of the Internet, I tried to create a Wi-Fi access point from my smartphone and put it in a high place near the window, at night when the load on the network 5G was minimal
4 then do everything as you have done so far, download the mod and I hope it will work
5 I don't know what exactly worked, probably some steps were extra, try and help others :)

got it to work after a month of trying, idk what happened for it to succeed but i just kept deleting the files and re-installing.

Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame
(1) change folder permissions to everyone read and write (770) and remove any other system account from it or your own user
(2) delete the folder and it will allow you to download mods fresh

Have you figured out how you changed it, it's been 4 months and still doesn't work

i still have no clue how i fixed it : ( it also ended coming back so i gave up on mods in the end.

did it fix itself after the game had an update? i'm having the exact same issue right now

for me it was helping to delete the (corrupted) mods in the game-menu - installed the curse forge standalone app https://www.curseforge.com/download/app (logged in as guest- button in lower left corner) - after this I got the mod icons back in the modmenue ingame and I was able to download the mods(also via server join) .... currenly the app is not running, but its working-it seems, one time open the app+start the game fix something...only one thing I've no engram icons from mods ingame...
