Unreal Engine 5 and Ark.
These UE5 games all run amazing on my system. No crashes, no server issues just start the games and it works.... ASA, nope.

---Games i own, some on Epic Store, so not in my Steam Library---

1. Fortnite (yes i know but it runs and i got it for the Lego thing)
2. Remnant 2 (fun game, has some issues but not even close to ASA)
3. Lords of the Fallen, game runs great, other issues beyond the game engine hold it back.
4. Palworld, Its just a fun game i know it does not compare to ASA level of detail, but it runs and is fun.
5. Redfall, Runs fantastic, the game sucks giant ass.
6. Forespoken, Game runs amazing, but it sucks ass.
7. Nightning Gale, Amazing game, in Early Access, runs spectacular, has as much going on as ASA, can be grindy, but so can Ark, Looks fantastic.

All of those games do not crash every 5-30 minutes, all of those games work on a computer that does not cost as much as a used car, Most of those games are fun, but some have some serious decision issues that the Devs/Pubs decided.

Take out the game play issues, lets stick with just stability, weather its server or just client not crashing.

All those white knighting the game should take a step back and think objectively, if you want ASA to survive, you need a healthy player base, this includes players on the low end of the system requirements. This is not happening, and because of it ASA is going to just be a forgotten game.

The Center? Seriously ? it was a decent map, but its the next map they choose to release and its basically The Island part 2.

No matter what i was always a huge supporter of WildCard, just cannot support the bad decisions WC/Snail are making.

... TLDR, lots of UE5 games run amazing, ASA does not.

Sorry for the book, Thanks for reading it if you did.

For intel users.... this might help some ?
https://www.pcgamer.com/there-are-increased-reports-of-crashing-in-unreal-engine-games-etc-and-epic-is-blaming-intel-chips/

---A division of Epic Games is pointing the finger at Intel's latest CPUs when it comes to an increasing number of reported Unreal Engine game crashes. Modern top-end CPUs are jammed full of cores, all running at high speeds, and it takes a lot of energy to keep them running like this. That's particularly true for Intel's most recent Core i9 processors, which are some of the most power-hungry chips around. And to eke out even more performance, motherboard vendors often use BIOS settings that push things even further.

All of this seems to be the culprit in the increased reports of game and app crashes, especially those that are built in Unreal Engine, and the only solution is to delve into those settings to calm the beast down a notch.

That's according to RAD, a division of Epic Games, which develops the Bink video codec and Oodle data compression tech used in hundreds of games on the market. It points the finger directly at Intel, too: "We believe that this is a hardware problem which affects primarily Intel 13900K and 14900K processors, less likely 13700, 14700 and other related processors as well."

They didn't make this game for UE5. They just copied all the code from the UE4 version and shoehorned it into UE5. That's why nothing works right.
also all the gacha games like wuthering waves, infinity nikki, etc, are made with UE5, they look stunning and they have super fast FPS.
you can optimize UE5 just fine.

as long as you are not lazy or incompetent.

With my old processor (Intel) rated at 54x100 I had to drop it down to 48x100 for the UE5 engine to run properly. Entirely Intel's fault for releasing poorly made CPUs.

Nice super necro there buddy. Might want to check the time stamps on the posts before you necro another thread. It's pretty hard to miss as it's right next to the previous poster's name..

However, since we've kinda already re-activated this thread..

Exactly and this is what i've been telling everyone since ASA released into early access.

It features the same exact issues ASE had during early access as well.

The only thing they've done is add the ASE assets into UE5 and done an auto visual upgrade on them. That's the thing with UE5, you can literally automate everything from upgrading visuals and assets.

They claimed they've 're-written' the code from 'scratch'.. That's just WC telling more lies that the sheep sadly swallows whole.. Trying to point this out on their official forum is pointless as we're met with an armada of shills and abusive forum moderators, something i've personally experienced and seen others go through as well.

I mean, their forum moderators perfectly reflect both WC and Snail Games' attitude both in-game as well as outside of the game. I mean, Snail even have server admins that BAN people when they get raided legitimately..

Yep. If WC were competent, they would've optimized ASE a long time ago as well, but nah.. Even then, though, ASE is far superior to ASA in every single way still and the best part is that they're not forcing paid DLC or premium mods there.. I'm guessing that's why they decided to re-release ARK and call it Ascended just so they could add paid DLC and premium mods to it, because they knew they couldn't do that with ASE, especially without an extreme backlash from the community.
UE5 just like unity and any other development platform gets heaps of trash thrown on it by devs that have not mastered their skills and/or game to fit the engine running it. Not saying such platforms are perfect and don't have the occasional bug just like any other piece of hardware or software these days. What i am saying is there seems to be a lot out there that is able to form their game on a platform with very little issue at all. While others, well all they can do is try to blame things on something else, (when its only them having that issue,) ignore the problem, and find the next buck to make instead. Then you get their free game slaves that join the developers cult and push broken things without mention of it and even help cover up the fact of the state of the game they are pushing just to try to beg for a few bucks while getting free games.
