Pyromane is an optional creature, if you want it buy the dlc, if not don't do it.

Studio Wildcard is a really great software house and ARK (both versions) are really good games; they take care of ours opinions, they still improve and support the game; and don't forget that buying the base game give to you access to all expansions and maps.

This new dlc way is userfull to support them and their work, i'm happy to support them.

btw. they started with an statement that ARK Ascended will be a free Update, remember? Now it's not, they have payed dlc stuff now, payed mods (where modder only gehts half of the money) and now payed single dinos that are waaay to op... WOW.

Playing Single Player only at the moment, but i can only totally agree with the original topic.
Im being into Software Development for 40 Years (approx >15 languages) and think theye are doing a good job. Personally in Single Player i dont have any issues at all.

It's simple for you to judge, like the toxic community usually do, but it's clear you don't know what means to create a videogame, specially all-gameplay based one; yes Ark Ascended is a remake but they worked so hard to make it, to improve all the mechanics and to adapt all to new technologies, it's really a big challenge.

You really need to go and look at snail and WC earnings before saying ♥♥♥♥ like they need to eat they have made 100's of millions from ASE and ASA, the game has always been built on bad decisions before it was even released thats why WC had so many issues with money to begin with and why they have constantly needed to make stupid deals with companies like snail and nitrado to bail them out. the constant lies from WC saying ASA will be a free upgrade to the fans and going back on it, saying that it will be remade from the ground up yet its a clear copy pasty in to unreal and being tweaked all the same bugs from the old game plus others unfinshed maps being released, SE with all the holes areas of the map where trees and rocks respawn when you have built on it and countless other issues, same with the center at the moment loads of the map textures unfinished, water buggy as hell, optimization for it to actual run well.

and as for the actual pyro its such a broken as tame i feel sorry for all the ppl on pvp that cant get it because believe it or not not everyone can afford to pay for every little dlc and prices in different countries vary alot of steam it might seem cheap to u for £4.30 in the uk or 5 dollars in america or 6 euro or what ever it is in europe but other countries exchange rates are alot different specially how steam does all there market places

you are clearly one of those spoiled little kiddos that gets everything they wanted there whole life and has no concept of money or the rest of the world and blindly think the practice that WC and snail does is ok, it is literally the worst practice for a games company. if WC cared about making the game great stop making random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chasing the current gaming trends like survival of the fittest, trying to ad VR to ASE, making ARK 2 soulslike, spend the money responsibly and make your game great and fix all the BS you keep saying your gona do

was just passin through and this caught my eye. You do realize that WC is the dev and Snail is the owner ? Snail pays WC to do their jobs. Snail made some investments in some other companies that didnt pan out.

But in all honesty, Im sure most of the people complaining about the price of the pyromane have probably bought more vbucks in fortnite than they care to say.

They promised that they would add dlc until out of early access with. Then they went and got themselves into a lawsuit.
Like an abusive parent they took it out on the player base by using it as an excuse to fleece us with dlcs before they were out of early access. Which they originally said they wouldn't.

Not to mention people had been asking them to fix the optimization for years now.
That never happened. Also remember when they mentioned ark 2 and we got this Instead they rerelease essentially the same game on steam again in early access shut down the servers for the old one and fleece everyone gullible enough fall for their nonsense again.

Y'all keep giving the viper money expecting them not to bite you.

bmw actually did this with their heated seats and something else I forget atm , have to pay a sub to use the f'n heated seats hahahaha..so glad I drive a jeep.

"and its only the beginning" seems like you never played official pvp for ase. as legit every new dlc map should be considered as pay to win at the standards everyone puts the pyro. SE added whip flame and wyverns, ab added ele that didnt require bosses, tek pod, railgun, reapers, easier to farm resources, ext added mana, even easier ele, op drops, easy electronics, I dont even need to label how p2w broken and stupid genesis is, however once they add a new creature that you need to buy, thats where everyone wants to cry and draw the line lol. this "p2w" ♥♥♥♥ isnt starting, its been here, no need to cry about the stock market crash of 2008 just pay attention the past and move on.

thats exactly my point I've not bought a single product from them since they broke there promise and made scorched earth while ark was still in early accesss. for me it was that moment that the writing was on the wall for what sort of developers wildcat was going to be.
