I can't tame Gigantoraptor.

Since two updates ago, I haven't been able to tame a Gigantoraptor.

When I enter the nest, the juvenile doesn't initiate the taming mechanic; it just looks at me and keeps walking.

I've tried it several times, and the same thing keeps happening

Me too. Either it never does or it let's me tame to 50% and then it breaks.

if you have even just a gate/structures near the nest it'll consider it trapped and won't initiate the taming process.

Nothing at all. Just and egg to distract the momma. Playing on SP, no where near my base.

I've just been using ghillie suit and then the parent doesn't bother with me at all so no need to distract it, tamed several like that with no issues

I used Ghillie too and the parent stomped me and broke it after they destoyed the egg. You must have gotten really lucky. LOL.

That's weird, I can stand right in front of the parent in ghillie and it just ignores me, when I switch to flak it attacks on sight.

any other mods and did it happen before you updated the gigantoraptor mod today? i play on SP with a bunch of mods and have no trouble taming gigantoraptors as of last night but haven't tried since downloading the update to the gigantoraptor mod today

several official mods have been breaking over time. for me each event mod has items disappearing (not even spawn commands work with the mod active) with the most recent update deleting all the love ascended items from the smithy except for the fishing rod, emotes and krampus suit are gone and so on.

the gigantoraptor not letting you tame it looks to be new but the parent just ignoring the player started happening with the traps hotfix that doesnt seem to be working too well anyway.

I play with a bunch of mods, just came back to the game. I didn't even know there was an update today, until I logged out a couple hours ago and now my game crashes...so yeah...was before the update...obviously. LOL. ;)

Wait, u guys have gigantoraptors spawning?
All i hav is a plague of Therizinos...every 50 meters a mob of 1/3 Theries spawn.
Also started 2 updates ago with 2 passive,childless and stoic Giganto's and ended in me being able to start my own ark nailsaloon after a 2 week Theri killingsprea.....

I'm having the same issue of not being able to initiate with the baby while in the nest and parent distracted. I've got one previously on my server and it did work at one point.

if you're playing on offical server, the taming is broken. Since they removed the 'trap the parent' exploit, ANY construction nearby count as "parent trap", so pillars, foundations, etc will block the taming minigame to initiate.
