What do you think of Ark The Animated Series?

For me, I really like the story line....though the art style isn't really to my taste. I really enjoyed it regardless.

How much money did WC/Snail blow on voice acting from Michelle Yeoh, Gerard Butler, Russell Crowe, David Tennant and Vin Diesel ? No wonder WC is broke.

It's very hard to take seriously as the small framed girl boss is both able to beat down people double her size with ease and as always.... the smartest person in every scene cos shes a 20 year old professor or some crap.... you know Lara Croft but without the decades of training...., she doesnt need to earn anything or respect the audiences intelligence for reality there, just starts maxed out with every perk tree unlocked etc.... BORING, as per typical for lazy character writer hires thats all the rage these last 4 years.

Queue the based white guy trying to help her and is promptly killed for daring to utter shes a woman, then purple rinse girlfriend shows up in flashbacks only to die anyway to make us give a crap.... she gets caught by rockwell, but able to beat down huge guards in armour... right.... oh and she fragile cos she only cares about consequences when people die due to her stupid actions.... nah not buying it... she is just another tediously written character that its hard to care about.

Escapes after the usual 'shes a genius and all the other professors with decades of training are wrong attitude' background flashback scenes YAWN..... evades 5 huge raptors, and takes an arrow in the shoulder as thick as her arm, and smashes it out like that scene in '2 mules for sister sarah' and walks it off like nothing cos reasons.....

Deary me... such as shame cos the levels of action and acting is decent, as is the gore.... not sure if I should try a 2nd episode tbh... had my fill of Disneyesque girl boss inserting shows that just max out all her perk trees from the start... just kills any sense of how fragile you are in the game at the start, or reality for that matter.

If you likes She-Hulk this will be 10./10,

if you are based... 5/10, not sure what audience this is aimed at, certainly not children that play the games, and most based adults aka normal people, arent into this agenda in our entertainment, so guess they were just ticking boxes for grants to fund it.

None of this had anything to do with entertainment value.

Strong female characters aren't masculine characters, women and men can be strong in a million different ways but Helena is just a mary sue in the animated series, nothing more.

People have a right to hear opinions on this type of stuff before they buy paramount+ just to be disappointed, the average ark gamer isn't gonna care about this whatsoever.

what's stupid is that helena was already a strong, smart character but in a way that wasn't ridiculous. her and rockwell traveled the island for a long time, discovering its secrets, learning, and even playing mediator between different factions. The problem is that weak people can't imagine what a strong character thinks, feels, or how they would deal with various situations, so they just hamfist it and boom, you got a Steven Segal movie and it's just garbage. I already felt like it had no chance based on teh trailer and that's true. The start of episode 2 really sealed the deal.

weird that they decided to change her love interest. the image shown in extinction shows her "found love" being a tarzan looking dude. oh well, will have to wait and see if they decide to "fix" the lore in ascended to match the show like how some other companies did. getting kind of old honestly. already making backups of my games incase of anymore surprise updates coming in to "fix" things.

It matters in the sense that many of the main characters got a back story, I did not mean that their back stories don't matter? That's absurd of course you'd want to know who they were before they came to the ark that's PART of the arks story, I mean it didn't matter who she was with, the point is she killed herself because she couldn't deal with the pain of losing her spouse, we got back stories for many of the characters as is standard in ANY story telling fashion. Be so for real right now.

Lots of people have multicolored hair these days, I don't see your point, sounds like typical 21st century stuff, and the animated story was created by Jeremy Stieglitz therefore it is the lore, hope that helps <3

As of right now, the in-game lore and the animated series are at odds and they can make whichever canon but they can't make both. Fun fact, jeremy stieglitz got sick at his bar mitzvah which is where he met his future wife.

Garbage, Eye rolls galore in first episode... 2nd episode started and I turned it off. Points are already stated above. Tell a story I was interested in and stop inserting crap nonsense that does nothing for a the story but appease a minority of folks for social points.
