Ark Survival Evolved is still waaaaayyyyy better

Which points would you make about playing the pure, unadulterated version of Ark ?

I don't think they can even be compared currently, unless you purely compare ARK:SE -> ONLY THE ISLAND map, and ONLY the dinosaurs currently available in ARK:SA.

Otherwise of coarse you're right, since ARK:SE has ALL those other maps and many more creatures / items / whatever

That's not even talking about the mods.

Now if you want to compare them fairly...

ARK:SA blows ARK:SE out of the water, the graphics are out of this world. The things added to game make it feel so much better playing through than the first (baby dinos in the wild, all the new building options)

Anyway people's opinions are their opinions, no one is going to be wrong and no one is going to change anyone elses mind

Ark:SE is playable and has twice as many players (which is super sad), while SA has no optimization, seems to break more with each update and the devs/publisher are completely out of touch. Even for their standard.

Ark Ascended improvements:

• Better/Revamped building system
  
• Wild dino calls/noises
  
• Wild dino children, baby > juvenile
  
• New items, and yes a lot of the other ark items aren't here but its not rocket science as to why they are not here yet, its because their respective maps aren't out yet, crazy I know
  
• Much better graphics, and the game has been optimized a lot and I haven't crashed for days, I can run high/epic with 60 fps on a 3080 now, it used to be 20 fps on high/epic.
  
• Built in mod manager
  
• Survival of the fittest built in
  
• New dinos on the island alone

There are more I could name too, stop saying evolved is better, its outdated, I hate ark ascended in the sense that nobody should have paid for this, this should all be ark survival evolved, but stop covering you eyes, closing your ears, shouting lalala, and saying this game is worse just because you don't like how it was handled.

I agree and disagree. ASA is by far an overall better product in graphics and the new mechanics. Whereas ASE has access to all the maps other than just The Island, and the dinos that come with those maps. In my opinion, that is the only thing from ASE that is better. Well, and because it's a nearly 10 year old version, it runs on lower spec systems. That's it.

ALSO, you can't use how many players ASE has over ASA as a "it's better and this is why" point...of course ASE is going to have more players....IT HAS MORE MAPS....and not everyone has a system that can play ASA. AND since ASA has ONLY The Island map, pretty much everyone has beaten the bosses by now and are just waiting for the next map. I'M SURE back when ASE was in EA and only had ONE MAP the same thing happened with it.

So, having more players currently does not mean one version is better over the other.

Ark SA is having the same issues Ark SE had when it released except it has better QOL and graphics. Sorry I choose ASA over ASE and i was with ASE from early access

You say its sad it has double the players but the comment you repsonded to answers exactly why that is the case, it is because it has all of the maps so of course once people either beat or get bored of ASA they are going to play ASE. Once ASA has more maps it wont be that way.

Ark Survival Ascended is in EA, its announced as a next gen "remake" not a port or a remaster.

Is still like you ask for what is better Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VII Remake .

I'm sorry but this is just mad coping.
Ascended has improved on Evolved in every single way,
All it needs is more content. The fundamentals of the core game are very good.

It got some steep system requirements which will keep a lot of people on ASE for a long time still, but eventually pc's will graually get better and everyone will play ASA

but ASE will be removed from Steam after ASA got all Content added from ASE
