Can u play with friends on non- dedicated servers?

i was playing with a friend yesterday and it was good in local but today he can´t join to my game

Yes- how were you playing ... did you create a shared game on your pc and played from there.. It is better to create a server for yourself, however it entails another pc running where you store your server, u both can join that server then. You could also find a non dedicated server from within steam and both log to that, for example mine is ASA-Vig-Island(UK) you search for that or others from within steam

I do not recommend playing a Non-Dedicated session, the tether distance is awful.
When i purchased ASA, i wanted to play with my best friend like this, it simply did not worked.
Tether distance is such a short distance my friend couldn't go farm outside while i was building the house without being out of each other's boundaries.

I suggest finding a good community server that will make you feel like home without the trouble of hosting yourself!
