It's a remake of a game that people have already logged hundreds if not thousands of hours into.
A remake of an 8 year old game.
A remake of an 8 year old game with ONE map right now.
A remake of an 8 year old game who doesn't have a new map (see old map) released until the end of this month.
A remake of an 8 year old game that has now seen two big releases of other Survival Games that people are playing and enjoying. Because they're new.
A remake of an 8 year old game that does not have a subscription or the need to buy anymore content once you have purchased it once. Meaning, everyone who was playing at launch, all those thousands upon thousands of players, literally just have to click play to come back.
Who cares if Official Servers are dead? Most of us play on private servers.

Almost all ultra settings. And other then runs me a littler hotter on GPU then I like its run fine. Yes has occasional crashes and bugs. I wont say its perfect.. far from it. But not hitting any game breaking bugs YET. Though if use any mods the chance to crash or game break bug is increased a LOT.
Game still needs lot of work I agree. But not all high end systems have issues. Seen two exact systems where one ran ultra and other barely ran medium lol Game isnt broken for every one BUT it is for some people. As for dead.. doesnt seem like it from forum activity "discounting complaints lol".
But I can understand your frustration.
This has been debunked so many times.
ASA has custom maps available.
If we were to take your argument that none cares for official.
You can still run servers with custom maps.
I won't speak about if that's possible under nitrado because I don't know.
If its not that would be more work on the user end, since you won't be able to use them as server provider and instead you would need to run dedicated server on your own.
Official servers don't matter, but the one official map matters?
I got confused.
That being the case is only an official network issue is it not?
Since according to you most of us play on private servers.
So who is stopping the community from starting servers with custom maps?
I have a crazy thought. Hear me out. Maybe, just maybe I know this is crazy to think, but...
What if the issue is ASA as a whole?
Clearly Ark players still playing ark.
Clearly ASA had same numbers and better compared to ASE for the first 2 months.
Here we are today with 20k player gap compared to ASE and dropping down to under 10k players.
However:
https://steamcharts.com/app/2399830
The data shows a clear and consistent overall steep decline of the player base month by month and compelling issues with therefore player retention.
yea, its broken
i dont play official as i cannot because it broken... however unofficial works fine and is great.
but yes its still a dead game for what it is...

No. Your point was it is dead.
My point was that claiming "dead" as you did is inaccurate/erroneous as in order to be "dead" the game would have to be shuttered and with 0 playing.
Thus making such erroneous statements leads to the dismissive nature of various replies that you've had to your thread.
My point was then to elude to the fact that if one shows the data then one makes a more compelling case for a significant decline and inability to maintain player retention. Such then becomes a more effective premise and less capable of being dismissed or refuted.
It's what they deserve for scamming their user base and re-releasing an engine update for full retail prices.
