How to have mutations?
I watched several guides about mutations in ASE, I started doing everything as in the guide, or at least what I understood, i.e. it is best to catch several low-level females and one male and replace the male when he gets the mutation, but when I gave birth to the first male with the HP mutation, no subsequent he did not have this mutation (hp). I was no longer born with this mutation. am I doing something wrong

Official or unofficial? this matters because of dino cap of ~450
Basic idea is to have many females and one male ALL exact same stats and no mutations.
Breed
Find a baby (male) that was lucky enough to get 2 points in say melee
Raise it and breed with existing females
Now, Find a baby (male) that was lucky enough to get 4 points in melee. 2+2=4
Raise it and breed with existing females
Now, Find a baby (male) that was lucky enough to get 6 points in melee. 4+2=6
Repeat until you hate breeding

Some things to keep in mind...
Only stick to one mutation type, you can have different males for other desired stats but don't mix until the end. I typically have 4 males that rotate in the breeding that have stacked mutations in melee, health, weight, stam.
once you reach 20 mutations (Melee: 40/40/0) it gets harder because chances you'll get your next mutation get cut in half but still doable.
254 is the maximum number for mutation levels for example Melee: 40/254/0
You can increase your chances with more females/eggs

Once you have the desired level of mutations you can combine multiple lines. Example Female Health: 38/40/0 and Male Melee: 40/40/0 to get baby with both mutations
Hope that helps

So True.
hello

Breeding on ark is perfect for people with gambling addictions. its like a vegas slot machine with eggs.

you can speed up the process by using some mods. if you don't mind skipping the tedious grind.

better breeding will always take the highest stat, this means when you have dinos with the same stats it will move the mutation to the next line. no RNG. 99% of the time.

mutation potion. this will guarantee a mutation each time. you can change the amount from ini file line. i have it set to 3. that's 6 points per 1 mutation.

i have some Argy's with H24 S24 W30 D42. absolute powerhouses.
