They initially said the end of the month which has just happened so I hope to see an update about it soon.
If you're on a dedicated server it can at least be hidden so it's not visibly active.
You could try to back up your files before removing the mod, remove the mod and see. If something disappeared, you could probably reinstall the mod and restore your backed up files.
I play single player and uninstalled the mod in early Jan. I still have the emotes, chibis, and everything else I got from that event. I'm pretty sure it's safe to uninstall the mod, but I'd suggest backing up the game's files just in case.
I see someone else lost their stuff, but I didn't: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2399830/discussions/0/4137187450435915059/
How can you hide the mod? We'd like to turn it off, but don't want to lose all our stuff. It got removed by accident last mouth and we lost all the lights. Basically everything that's a mod asset and not in the base game.
Unofficial Servers:
When turning off/disabling Winter Wonderland: Add the Winter Wonderland ID to your server launch parameters (-passivemod=927090). Make sure to also keep the Winter Wonderland active until content migration happens later this month (-mod=927090). Failure to use both launch parameters will result in the loss of the event cosmetics/items.
so the passivemod line is what hides it but you have to have both in there and leave the mod installed, it then only runs as a background task.
They seem to be behind on the fix to this.....but this works fine on our server
v34.49 (34.48 client) - 02/08/2024 - Minor version for servers and clients
Patch Notes
Winter Wonderland content has been merged into the base game, so you no longer need to run the mod on your servers.
Suppose it be both, but there is a post that says the dino candies for one player disappeared

Yep suppose to be both, why don't YOU test it and be helpful to yourself
Edit: But Missing Tracked Dinos on Tracking Tab :/
Thanks for letting me know.
