That said I don't know if they fixed frame generation in latest Nvidia drivers. Please let me know if that's the case.
try to install an old driver https://steamcommunity.com/app/2399830/discussions/0/4137186960642374743/
The thing that fixed crashing for me was to not have RTSS (Rivatuner) running in the background or GeForce Experience installed while playing ASA.
Some things to try if you see issues.
Try the above driver after using DDU to clean any old drivers without installing GF experience
Try these commands in the steam Ark run properties (-norhithread -useallavailablecores)
Disable any overlays (Steam, Windows, etc.) My headphones software even has one SMH
*disabling the windows game bar was tricky, had something to do with app changing permissions
If overclocking try running stock
What a mindless thing to come out with - People need FG to make the game smooth or its 30s fps max setting at 2k to 4k for many.
It worked for me and i stopped crashing
I use rivatuner too. Ill check this out.
Honestly I still get 60fps easily…playing in 4k maxed settings without frame generation.
I can see frame generation in the settings but it is darkened out and set to off.
I tried changing the other settings but none will undarken the 'frame generation' setting
I still get freezes and crashes, nothing anyone has recommended has fixed it yet.
I am playing on Linux (only), but it doesn't seem like that makes a difference based on the majority on windows having all the same problems and more.
The 3090 does not have frame generation.
