Hey I bought No Mans Sky back when it was terrible... my mistake... but it became great so I dont regret that purchase at all. You shoulda thought more carefully before you jumped in, perhaps?
I dont believe this purchase will have been a bad one for you... eventually. ASA is the path forward for Snail/Wildcard and that is what they are working on; and ASE is not any more. Go enjoy ASE for now.... but one day you'll be back on ASA.
Just stay on ASE and stop giving such dirty companies money.

A two-letter word for your post. You must be proud. :)
Commenting on a post over a year old. You must be new here.
There are several deal-breaking improvements for me. I also have a GPU that provides adequate performance (for now, I have a new PC waiting to be put together).
The new patch has unlocked my GPU bottleneck and I've gone from 40 to 60 FPS in 1440P.
The OP's CPU is too old and they probably don't have a good GPU. I've heard rumors a 4070 is necessary to even consider playing ASA.
I have a 4070 Ti running with an Intel I7 10700K. My CPU is not good enough, but the relieving of the bottleneck has really helped.
Why am I the only one getting good results out of the patch?
Also, I know buying new hardware to accommodate quirks in software is bad, but just buy a 2TB NVME SSD like I did. It's a lot less expensive than it used to be and you'll thank yourself later.
It used to run ridiculously low temps due to the bottleneck. I thought it was my old CPU, but it was the game.
I now run normal temps.
I likely still have bottlenecking, but the game's contribution is gone.
